Well - the cultural aspect of 'being a tough guy' and standing over others has its part there.  You will find that the women are more likely to openly discuss this aspect - they know exactly what 'standover' is and how it works ... the biggest African King with the biggest fists or the biggest voice gets all the cream and the rest get the crumbs that may fall from the table.

It is primitive primate behaviour at its very lowest.

This aspect of the 'culture' is desperately in need of overhaul before any real progress can be made, particularly the idea that young men 'need to be made tough' via being brutalised - and we all know where that leads... Lithgow Prison or somewhere else in the main...

The Abo bloke who bashed the lady I know I saw actually doing that with a dog - knuckling the innocent dog on the nose to make him 'tough'.... a big and lovely Blue Staffy.... should have known then he would promote himself to woman bashing ... and only then did his lengthy record of just that come to light..... now he is banned from that city - and there are Men who are just drooling over the chance at him.

My 'father' set out to 'make us boys tough' by bashings etc - he didn't need to do that for us to thrive - and his Generation War had a lot of cock-eyed ideas about men..... when you have an entire 'culture' that is built around Generation War AND generational war - you see how the problems multiply.
