my Seiko is probably better quality than all the Rolex's around.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

stay stupid, stupid

My Seiko is a genuine one, made in Japan,

those Rolex watches are all dodgy - made in China.

But not in China?  How can you credibly exclude that?

My Seiko Diver's watch?

Don't tell me that could have been made in China too?    Shocked

China, Singapore or Malaysia

Please don't even say that -

you are ruining my watch dreams.   Cry

Makes no difference where its made Bobby, if it works and you like it than that is all that matters.

Yep and when chicks ask me about it -
I say it's a Diver's watch and I'm a freediver.     Smiley

When you say "chicks", you mean the retirement aged women at the Balaclava Hotel, yeah?

The point of a rolex. Or an expensive handbag or a lambo is not that they are superior products.

An apple watch is more accurate.
A Toyota camry is a more comfortable car.

But it's a signal you have been successful in the brutal world of business and it allows other successful people to screen for who they might wish to network with.

So a group of guys with lambos  might meet up on a Saturday morning and see if there are collaborative entrepreneurial deals to be done.

Chick's don't want to win. They want to be with a winner, so a lot of hot women tag along.

Now are there going to be dumb useless old money tools ( Jamie packer) trying to crash the party?

Probably.

But it's still a way of keeping the derpers out.

Same probably goes for high end art galleries, the Qantas lounge. Sending your kids to the most expensive private school.

The art or the peanuts or the teachers are probably not much good but you get to network with high quality individuals . Once you screen out the dickheads.

It's probably a smart move

It has always been

It's not what you know, it's who you know

If you wear a Rolex it means you're the one who points your finger not
the one to whom the finger is pointed.

I love watches but I'm a Seiko Gshock kind of guy.

I usually wear my Garmin Instinct which has pay on it + all the other toys.

If you don't want to vibe with people on the up and up, then that's fine.
That's success barriers, limiting beliefs and living in scarcity.

A Rolex indicates someone has abundance.

Abundance is a mindset of seeing opportunity, seeing the world as your oyster, not the clenching, clutching, choking energy of the scrooge.

Abundance of cash, sexual partners and business opportunities.

The chode lives in scarcity, complaining the dole or the minimum wage is too low.

All around him is abundance, but he can't vibe with that .

So he ends up a broke incel.

And the pay off is he can keep on complaining, forever.

Just like you are now,

People do so love their pain  Wink

Yes and when you wear a Rolex it says -

show me some respect - you don't wear a watch like this.

I personally have not wore a watch full time since COVID.

I have two apple watches, and a Longines.

All past Christmas presents.

Nice Seiko watch -

I had one too from 1980 but it failed a few years ago and it couldn't fixed.
It was the Xtal or the Xtal board that failed.
A replacement Xtal didn't fix it but maybe it needed a special Xtal?
