There is no doubt Erin poisoned her guests and killed them....There is no doubt Erin went to the areas where death cap mushrooms were reported growing, how else would she get death cap mushrooms....Erin was the only one who did not eat the death cap mushrooms and supposedly ate the same meal as her guests....Erin lied to police about owning a food dehydrator and dumped it soon after the meal....The food dehydrator had Erin's fingerprints on it and tested positive to death cap mushrooms....I think she might be guilty!!!

As do I....but it is not enough to just 'think she MIGHT be guilty.'

Fair enough....However she did poison her guests which is not in doubt....I believe the jury will find her guilty!!!

The jury are just ordinary people.
They will go with their gut instincts that she's as guilty as sin.

I agree Bobby....The only reason she lied was to cover up her crime....If it was an innocent mistake she would not have known the mushrooms were the cause of the illness and dispose of the food dehydrator which implicated her in the murder???

Yes it looks like she picked the death caps when they were in season -
dried them with her Sunbeam food dehydrator and kept them in a container
to use in her murder plot.

I agree Bobby....Erin has lied about everything!!!

Quote:
Security footage has been played to Erin Patterson's triple-murder trial, showing her dumping a food dehydrator at the tip in the days after she hosted a deadly lunch.

Prosecutors allege traces of death cap mushrooms were found on the black Sunbeam dehydrator, the same toxin ingested by four guests who ate beef Wellingtons at Ms Patterson's home on July 29, 2023.

CCTV from the Koonwarra Transfer Station And Landfill was played to the Supreme Court on Wednesday, showing Ms Patterson's red car pull up outside a large green shed on August 2, 2023.

Ms Patterson is seen retrieving the dehydrator from her boot and taking it inside the shed. Tip manager Darren Canty said the item was later retrieved from an e-waste bin and given to police.

She is guilty.
Death cap mushrooms do not appear in a meal by accident.
They are not available commercially.
She has been linked to a similar death in the past.

It must have been a terrible way to die.

Imagine if she did take the stand?

She's the Hollywood type who would break down in tears all the time -
especially when asked a hard question.

It would have been painful to watch her Academy Award acting.

If it was an innocent mistake, she would have also eaten those deathcap mushrooms and died like the rest of her guests - or been on death's doorstep like the pastor.

This is remarkably unremarkable and it is one of the obvious flaws in the Jury system.  If anyone really believes Jurors do NOT discuss the day by day events of Trials with at least one Family Member, then you are denying human nature and common sense.  Sequestration is the answer especially when a person's liberty is at stake.  Yes, it costs large but, if we are fair dinkum about it, that is only way to prevent pillow talk.

Jury sequestration means a jury is isolated from the public and media during a trial to prevent outside influences from impacting their decision-making. This isolation typically involves jurors being housed together in a hotel or other location with limited contact with family, friends, or the public, and they are often prohibited from accessing news reports or other information about the case.
