Sounds okay, I guess. Is it fast? Can download and store photos by the bucket load?
So it was built up for you by some tech wizard.
Does it turn out cheaper than just buying it from a retail store?

BTW very minimalistic screen top page… mine is like a messy teenagers room  Grin

There are online shops where you pick your components, software and add it to a cart. The shop will check compatibility, assemble and ship. Nothing gets cheaper than that.

You can also go to a computer forum and copy a build that suits your budget.

No Leader are an Australian PC manufacturer. In fact the largest.

Quote:
Leader is the largest PC manufacturer in Australia
The successful marketing strategy and service orientated approach has established Leader as the largest PC manufacturer in Australia and a leading national IT distributor.

https://leader-online.com.au/about/#:~:text=Leader%20is%20the%20largest%20PC%20m...

My PC bloke ordered it from Leader for me.

Previously he had bought all the components  and put together my 2 previous desktops - I bought the monitor and he put together the box/tower and set it up for me.

As for my screen/display it's early days - there will be more icons on there before long.

I even have the old hard drive from my previous computer now sitting in a docking station with a usb cable connecting it to my new all in one as a back up and with a lot of my old data.

It's reasonably quick and I hope a little quicker when I get my Optic Fibre to the premises sorted out.

That's another saga/story.

It cost me around $1,800 - old mate charged me his commission and for setting it up and downloading all my old programs, photos, data on to it. they're usually around $1,500. They use resellers. They have all different models.

Sounds good.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/226066/intel-core-i712650h-...

CPU Specifications

Total Cores 10
# of Performance-cores 6
# of Efficient-cores 4
Total Threads 16

However - I'd install an extra 16 Gig of RAM -
16 Gig is not enough as you have it now.

Well that would depend if it's RAM is upgradable.

Like how many slots - if theres only two and its 2 x 8 sticks then I would have to buy 2 x 16 gig sticks.

With these all in ones the RAM could be built in and not upgradable.

Its a question I didn't ask.

I did recheck the model and this one is the SV274-I7P - their 27" Visionary 274 i7 Pro All-In-One

which is priced on their website at $1749

Computer bloke charged me $1892 which is less a mark up than I thought and no doubt covered postage.

Open it up and see if there's a spare slot for more memory.
Get the motherboard part number and check with Google.

Not on your life - I might void the warranty.

This is not the same as taking the side off a PC tower to look inside.

I had the same problem when I bought my computer.
I just phoned up and asked permission to install an extra memory stick and they said
I would not void my warranty.
(However - you need to take anti-static electricity precautions.)

As I said Booby this is not a desktop tower - it's a monitor with inbuilt computer.

I'm not pulling it apart - if I feel the need to upgrade the RAM I'll be asking my computer bloke.

OK - just check the memory usage using a program such as Advanced System Care or
go Ctrl Alt Delete and task manager and check it that way.
If you have say 30 windows in tabs it might be using nearly all your memory.

That is why i wouldn't buy a monitor with inbuilt computer.

What happens if the monitor dies or you have defective SSD, RAM or other internal problems?

MSY will build a PC to whatever spec you desire
