Actually, I like Stanthorpe apples.
BTW Tassy is behind NSW and And Vic in terms of production.

Ever eaten ripe apples straight from a tree?

They are really hard -
sometimes you have to wait a week for them to ripen a bit more in the fruit bowl
before you eat them.

The ones in the shop -  yuck - soft flowery old rubbish.

I don't have to wait a week when I pick my apples, straight from the tree crispy, sweet and juicy. I don't even spray them but do lose some to the possum.

Wow - I wish I had an apple tree - like when I was a kid - but yes -
it's difficult when you have possums around -
sometimes they take one bite each out of 20 apples and ruin the lot.

None of them have to. Unlike you, they have homes.

I'm just an uneducated, unskilled, unqualified homeless mental retard from too many blows to the head, unemployable Dole bludging, Aboriginal benefit bludging loser who got a stint in the music video 'Smells like teen spirit' with my mop and bucket. No-one wants me to sleep on their couch and I sleep in the bush, which is where I am now. Woe woe woe, what am I good for?😢

You're right John. I'm living a lie and I should end this. Today I will hang myself.

If one word of that is true, you also have to be the biggest dick-head self doxxer on this Planet.

I've been eating apples straight from the tree recently and yes, they sure are hard.

I gave up on one as I was worried about my teeth.

Very tasty apples though - from Keysbrook (south of Perth).

Yes - good apples come from Southern areas.

Maybe the Winter temperatures kill pests and molds?

I had avoided Coles apples for many months now as I was always disappointed.

I just tried two  Fuji apples from Coles bought 3 days ago -  $4.90 per kilo -  both flowery -  and no good.
They should be fresh - this season -
they must be one year old kept in Nitrogen freezers?
I was ripped off -
that's why I only ever buy 2 apples at a time.
If they were picked this summer season they shouldn't be more than 1 month old -
they'd still be crisp.

Here is a picture of one half of 2 different apples.
The one on the left was already slightly brown in colour as soon as it was cut open.

It's all to do with being kept in cold storage for extended periods then bought out and put on the shelves and being allowed to come back to room temperature for too long.

They start deteriorating straight away.

I'd agree with that.

I still haven't found any  "this season's apples"

It's all old stuff with no apple smell.
