It will be Angus with Jacinta as his deputy.

She will over take from him six  to nine months out from election and lead and win from there on in 😍

We’re back in black baby.

Bye bye Albo.

From Jacinta this morning:

Today I announce my candidacy for the position of Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, and my endorsement of Angus Taylor’s candidacy for Leader of the Liberal Party.
As I’ve said with respect to my decision to change party rooms, these are not matters which I take lightly, and this decision today brings with it a great deal of responsibility which I fully accept.
There is no question that returning to our roots as a party is critical right now.
If we want to inspire and empower Australians across our country, we must return to these roots – these basic values – that define who we are as a party.
We must once more remember and fight for the forgotten people, those on whose shoulders Australian society has been built and still depends.
These are the mainstream Australians who have a big contribution to make.
I think of my grandparents, who were by no means the elite, building their first home by hand with hessian bags and washing their clothes in the creek in Warners Bay, NSW. But they saw a spark, a vision of a brighter future for generations to come. My Warlpiri grandparents caught the vision and transitioned from nomadic desert life into community life during the emergence of a modern Australia.
They were the original Aussie battlers – the forgotten people.
Their courage to grab hold of aspiration with both hands has paved the way for a desert kid like me to put my hand up to lead.
Like my grandparents, I too see a spark. I see a brighter future for generations to come. I want others to see this future for themselves. That’s what my candidacy for Deputy Leader is all about – a brighter future not just for the Liberal Party, but for all Australians.

I don't know about National party internal tussle but if Matt Canavan gets up as leader then her jump would have been pointless.
Same if Sussan Leys gets to be Lib leader. She would be an outer.

Andrew Hastie would be my pick but he has 3 small children under 10. He will be PM one day if he sticks with politics.

Labor minority government with Green/Teal support this time, ending disastrously, like Gillard/Rudd, followed by another decade of Lib/Nat government.

Why would the Liberal Party replace Peter Dutton? He has done a great job at holding Anthony Albanese accountable.

They still haven't found a replacement yet?

They're taking too long.

If they don't announce a new leader by this afternoon, they're gonna lose even more supporters.

It's a bad sign.

Well….not only up goes house prices, but up goes house break ins and crime … how can we protect our home and ourselves with lax laws under labor?
It’s gotten worse in recent times and there won’t be any overnight changes anytime soon.
People had to scream out to our Vic labor leader to change the bail laws! Why does it take that much to understand?

you've got to stop listening to all the bullshit. Crime is actually down in most of the country. Roll Eyes

It is also mostly a State issue....Liberal voters are not very smart that is why they are Liberal voters!!!

The two choices aren't great, Ley is corrupt and added an extra S to her name for a better numerology result and Taylor congratulated himself on Facebook without swapping to a sock accounts (example1 & example2)...

It really is a giant douche or a turd sandwich.

Yep.

Good for Labor, no matter who they choose.

Ley is unelectable as PM and Taylor has shot himself in the foot by taking Price on board as his deputy.  That will have many Lib noses out of joint.

They have learned nothing from their election drubbing....Taylor the Coalition treasurer failed to provide sound policies with a lack of detail and dodgy accounting which Australia rejected in droves....Price is opposed by most Aboriginal elders and has shown she is an opportunist looking after herself and turning her back on the people who voted for her....Going with Taylor and Price will cement the Coalition time in opposition!!!

It really will be the last nail in their metaphorical political coffin.

Price is an absolute clown and Taylor is an insipid weakling.

Again, I do not like the guy, but Basil Zempalis would be a good choice for them.

The problem is, he's only just become the leader of the WA Liberal Party.

They'd need to parachute him into a safe federal seat - force someone to retire and hold a by-election.

And Basil would make the move in a heartbeat - he's a power-hungry attention whore.  He doesn't care about the people of WA.

Horrible person, but he has the charisma to charm conservative voters, along with extensive media experience.

You mean Price does not fit your racist interpretation of what an Aboriginal woman should be.  Roll Eyes
