The Lies We Tell Ourselves

On Netflix.

Honestly one of the finest shows of the decade ... and i know this is a huge call.

Four part series, each shot in one continuous take ... which adds magnitudes to both the gravitas and the performances ... which are exemplary.

Warning though, this will rip your heart out. I found this really hard to watch.for reasons that will be made clear to you should you brave it. But if you want excellence and a real and very important talking point, Adolescence is one to watch.

Just to add, Stephan Graham is one again just draw dropping but the kid they got to play Jaime ... just wow. First thing he's ever done and he was breathtaking.

This is a piece of art, not just creatively but for the sheer weight of emotion and thought it provokes.

I have not seen the new Netflix series Adolescence, and have no plans to. So I will not comment on the script or the acting or the direction. But I will note that, in a healthy society, the casting would be bizarre. The central character is a white English boy - which is an odd choice in a land where every single day girls and women are assaulted by "migrants" - to the point where this website now has recurring Diversity Rape of the Day and Diversity Stabbing of the Day features. Oh, and careful which hospital you go to after your rape, because the UK media are now normalising rape by the medical profession. From the BBC:

Doctor not struck off by panel over 'one-off' rape

That would be Dr Aloaye Foy-Yamah of the Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

If the hospital name rings a bell, it's because it's where a 75-year-old stroke patient called Valerie Kneale died not of a stroke but from internal bleeding after a sexual assault that took place while she was in the ward. Seven years on, as the local paper reminded us this week, the killer has never been found.

From the Midlands Regional Hospital (where I've been treated, long ago) in Mullingar, Ireland:

A healthcare worker who sexually assaulted a teenage girl and a woman while taking blood samples in a Midlands hospital emergency department has been spared jail.

And yet to Netflix "toxic masculinity" is a white English boy. The evil bastard Starmer has now decided that this perverse drama is not just another bit of telly crap but so vital to the populace that it has to be shown in school.

It is less than a year since the evil bastard and his minions imposed a fraud on his nation by passing off the killer of three little girls in Southport as a rugger-playing male-voice-choir-singing Welsh boyo - rather than the Islamic convert of migrant stock that he is in what we used to call reality. And, if you were minded to disagree with the evil bastard on social media, he had you thrown in gaol.

A few years before I started high school the Montreal massacre at École Polytechnique took the lives of 14 women. Every year on the anniversary the female teachers would spend the whole day hectoring us about "violence against women", insinuating that every boy in the class was a potential mass shooter held back only by their fearless nagging.

The shooter's name was Marc Lépine. Supposedly. Implication: just another white man driven mad by misogyny!

I didn't find out he'd been born Gamil Rodrigue Liass Gharbi until I was in my 30s. Guy wasn't French-Canadian. He was Algerian. But they let us all think he was white, because they wanted to weaponize his crimes against the consciences of teenage white boys.

This is exactly the same shite.

...

The lies we are told, indeed.

The Montreal massacre would become the standard operating procedure for the entire western world: the "son of an Algerian Muslim wife-beater" or some such preying on the women, while their menfolk walk away and literally turn a blind eye, while the governing class imposes an utterly fraudulent narrative on the national consciousness. And so it goes - in England, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Your Patch Of A Dying Christendom Here...

For women's groups, the Montreal Massacre is an atrocity that taints all men, and for which all men must acknowledge their guilt. Marc Lépine symbolizes the murderous misogyny that lurks within us all.

M Lépine was born Gamil Gharbi, the son of an Algerian Muslim wife-beater, whose brutalized spouse told the court at their divorce hearing that her husband "had a total disdain for women and believed they were intended only to serve men." At eighteen, young Gamil took his mother's maiden name. The Gazette in Montreal mentioned this in its immediate reports of the massacre. The name "Gamil Gharbi" has not sullied its pages in the thirteen years since.

Ah, well, I would bring that up, wouldn't I? Just for the record, I'm not saying that M Lépine is representative of Algerian manhood or Muslim manhood. I'm saying he shouldn't be representative of anything -- least of all, the best efforts of women's groups and the convenient gloss of that pure laine name notwithstanding, Canadian manhood.

UPDATE: I doubt I'd write that today, if only because, while M Gharbi might not have been all that representative in the 1980s, he's certainly a lot more representative than he used to be - if only because the Muslim population of Canada has more than quadrupled since I wrote that line, and has similarly accelerated throughout Britain, Western Europe and elsewhere.

Er - Frank, a reminder  from your favourite (though despised)  'parrot': don't forget - like Trump does -  the reasons for  immigration, and the influx of  "the rapists and murderers"  among them, namely dysfunctional economic realities all around the world.

And at home: young men can no longer see a way to buying a house and raising a family - in the dysfunctional  low-wage, insecure gig economy which Trump is trying to rectify  by bringing manufacturing jobs back to the US.

Hence the 'toxic masculinity' narrative of the mainstream which  Starmer thinks has something to teach society.

So Keir Starmer is tripping over himself to change laws on “toxic masculinity” because of a TV episode, but refused a national enquiry on Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs.

Yet more proof that Labour cares more about identity politics than protecting little British girls.

For Keir Starmer to suggest Adolescence must be shown in all schools is a hopeless piece of political virtue-signalling, desperate to ride the coat-tails of popular opinion, illustrating that he doesn’t really want to understand the nature of the problem; What will teenagers get from watching it?

The majority of boys who carry a knife do so because they believe others do, not because they are misogynist incels. The fear is of being stabbed themselves, not because they intend to attack teenage girls. There is a reason why boys make up the majority of victims, and why black boys are over represented in those statistics.

Two weeks ago I led a debate in Parliament about ‘Knife crime amongst children and young people’. Perhaps if the Prime Minister felt the topic was truly important he might have made time for it to be discussed rather than the issue being forced by myself as an opposition backbencher.

Until we are prepared to frankly and robustly address why our children are carrying knives, and more still why so many have become prepared to kill, we simply will not stop this senseless loss of life.

Keir Starmer’s Britain: Where Fiction Is Mandatory

In a move that’s definitely not dystopian, Keir Starmer has announced Labour’s new education policy: "fiction is now mandatory, truth is conditional, and moral outrage is allocated based on the victim’s ethnicity, gender, and sexual proclivities. "
At the centre of this re-education experiment is Adolescence, a Netflix drama now being rolled out in schools. It claims to be “based on a true story”—in the same way EastEnders is based on real London life. In truth, a young girl was murdered. In the show, the black killer has been quietly race-swapped into a white, working-class boy radicalised by podcasts and a lack of youth club access.
Primary children will now be required to chant "transwomen are women" at assembly. Once a great place to start the day with "Shine Jesus Shine" or  other old skool Christian assembly bangers,  Christianity has now been declared a "gateway to the Far Right", and any child caught promoting outdated ideology like, "Peace, Tolerance and Forgiveness", will be immediately excluded under the new scheme.
Instead, children of junior age will take part in workshops where they apologise for their skin tone while crocheting Pro Hamas slogans into doilies. The PSHE syllabus will include a ceremonial apology for the British Empire with a performance of Toxic Masculinity: The Musical, funded by the Department for Equalities and Interpretive Dance.
To help ease NHS spending on contraception and abortion, Bonnie Blue and Lily Phillips will now lead nationwide anal sex workshops, teaching schoolgirls how to avoid pregnancy while staying culturally open-minded. The pilot scheme—Back Door to Empowerment—has been described as “inclusive, lubricated, and uncomfortably funded.” And, in a special school assembly next week, Bonnie Blue will demonstrate how British girls can reframe their gangrape as "cultural hospitality"—a progressive act of openness, bravery, and surrender to imported values.
Meanwhile, Labour continues to obsess over misogyny in white working-class boys, while just days ago they celebrated Eid by praising the Ottoman Empire—a regime best known for child slaves, sexual harems, and flaying people alive for apostasy.
Diane Abbott added, “It’s vital we teach white working-class boys not to grope women, while simultaneously respecting cultures where it’s illegal to show a woman’s elbow.”
Recognising that made up stories on TV are more valuable than actual facts, other exciting reforms include a complete overhaul of professional training, replacing education with entertainment:
Barristers will no longer study law, but instead watch Rumpole of the Bailey in combination with Jim’ll Fix It, before sitting an oral exam titled When Banter Becomes Evidence.
Police officers will be trained watching The Bill, specialising in community cohesion, progressive tasering, and apologising for stop and search in three languages.
The prison service will be trained entirely from watching Prisoner: Cell Block H, with coursework on inclusive strip searches, hormone logistics, and gender-neutral riot suppression.
Medical students will now qualify by diagnosing fictional conditions from Casualty, followed by a Grey’s Anatomy quiz on who cried hardest during surgery.
New farmers will be trained via The Archers, focusing on rural conflict resolution, organic cow consent, and how to build a polytunnel during a panic attack.
MI5 recruits will be selected using escape rooms themed on Spooks, James Bond and The Night Manager.
Aspiring teachers must binge-watch Waterloo Road, learn how to spot unconscious bias in a lunchbox, and pass an exam on glue-sniffing prevention based entirely on the lyrics to “Just Say No”.
And above it all looms Adolescence—a state-mandated hallucination where children learn that truth is racist, fiction is sacred, and everything can be healed with guilt and a musical number.

I agree - but you like Starmer (and Trump) don't want to address the social consequernces of  mainstream economic dysfunction which feed into social break-down including violence against women, regardless of issues re ethnicity.

At least Trump IS trying to deal with the economic effects of dysfunctional mainstrean economics....we now live in VERY "exciting" times, in which it's impossible to predict how Tump's GLOBAL tariffs will play out around the world, (unless he withdraws them before they take effect, which is a possibility - I hear he doesn't like  prolonged  market down-turns).

The Great Inflation was always going to happen (just like the Great Depression). Wether by foresight or fluke?? Trump has battened down the hatches and gone on a preparation attack to get the USA economy some ground back and is pushing Canada and Mexico to follow his lead. Get the money back and stop throwing it away overseas under some illusion that it's the USA's job to do the UN's work for it.
Alas for the NLP, they're gonna have a stinker 4 years doing the same and won't be thanked for it by a population suffering from a Great Inflation effect.

...of course War will be the next step for many nations to get ahead after such an economic inability to keep up with the Joneses.

Fantasy lie:

...

Reality truth:

Co-creator Stephen Graham has said that one of the real-life incidents that inspired Adolescence was a ‘young girl in south London who was stabbed to death at a bus stop’ – a reference to the 2023 murder of Elianne Andam by Hassan Sentamu in Croydon. Everyone knows that this had nothing to do with the manosphere, and that the backgrounds of the perpetrator and victim were very different from the characters in Adolescence.

...

...

The court heard that Sentamu, who had a history of attacking girls and carrying knives, killed the popular schoolgirl in front of other children, shoppers and commuters.
The trigger for his actions was his "short temper and aggressive tendencies", while he had also made a "deliberate decision to carry a knife", the judge said at the sentencing hearing, which was televised.

Addressing 18-year-old Sentamu, Mrs Andam said: "You brutally murdered her in the most humiliating way in broad daylight; mercilessly killing her on the floor as she begged for mercy.  You walked away showing no remorse as if her life meant nothing.  You did not only kill Elianne, you killed me mentally and emotionally. Your actions were senseless and evil."

Leave it out of this MRB.

It is distorting, nor merely fictionalising,  reality  - ie lying - to present a story about a dysfunctional black teenage murderer of another black teenager as a story about a white boy from a loving family murdering another white girl.

Adolescence IS a lying presentation, a deliberate distortion.

It's a fictional TV show, Frannie.

You don't really think Superman can fly, do you?

Despite making up only 13% of London’s total population, black Londoners account for 45% of London’s knife murder victims, 61% of knife murder perpetrators and 53% of knife crime perpetrators.
[url]https://www.london.gov.uk/press-releases/assembly/commission-on-knife-crime-in-black-community[/url]

It is a lying, deliberate distortion like a black Anne Boleyn or Macbeth. It is a cover-up.

Imagine the same 4 part series depicting a murderous black teenager from a dysfunctional background. It would have been honest and real, not a deliberate lie.

Correlation does indicate a parallel  relationship, cockwomble.
If the correlation coefficient has a positive value (above 0) it indicates a positive relationship between the variables meaning that both variables move in tandem, i.e. as one variable decreases the other also decreases, or when one variable increases the other also increases.

There is a very strong correlation between violent crime and blackness, especially young male blackness.  This correlation is strongly evident in London, Chicago, Alice Spings.

To Netflix "toxic masculinity" is a white English boy. Starmer has now decided that this perverse drama is not just another bit of telly crap but so vital to the populace that it has to be shown in school.

It is less than a year since Starmer and his minions imposed a fraud on his nation by passing off the killer of three little girls in Southport as a rugger-playing male-voice-choir-singing Welsh boyo - rather than the Islamic convert of migrant stock that he is in what we used to call reality. And, if you were minded to disagree with the evil bastard on social media, Starmer had you thrown in gaol.

Fiction (top) versus reality(bottom)

...

Will Floyd George be played by Brad Pitt and Barrack Obama by Meryl Streep in the upcoming Netflix biopic?

So race will not cross anyone's parochial little antipodean "minds"?

And the absolute kicker is he hasn't even seen it. He's simply been told how to react.

Just like his blind and contrary devotion to Trump.

I am fed up to the back teeth with you bastards denigrating, misrepresenting, lying about your own, and my, cultural inheritance. I will simply not acquiesce.
You can throw all your idiotic, lying crap, it ain't sticking. You are lying about your own culture AND about other, alien cultures which you have no understanding of.

If blacks, Muslims, Abos fitted in they wouldn't be insanely overrepresented in crime , violence, murder.
And you and I are NOT making them behave abonibly. It is not colonialism, it is not wacism. Depicting black teenage murderers as white British boys from a loving family is a lying, despicable piece of propaganda. You love it, I hate it.

We BOTH recognise it.

That is the kicker.

Focus, nappy shitting eejit. Focus. I know it is hard for you, post-stroke, with a full nappy, but DO try.

Now stop shitting yourself again and again as if you did not comprehend the point.  You are not some paki arse bandit or a Slovenian creep, after all. You are more educated than most here. Act accordinglly.
If you can....

It is about black teenage knife crime whitewashed, lyingly, as something white British boys from loving, whole families do.

A preposterous lie.

That IS why you and creep boost it. You DO see the lie, you do see the sleight of hand. EVERYBODY does. But you lie about it.

Oh white boys have always done it. What's concerning those watching is that it's on the rise.

Do you know what 80:20 means? No? You're irredeemably out of touch.

And who killed James Bulger?

Imagine if poor Bulger's killers were, lyingly, depicted as blacks. You would protest, dishonest, hypocritical old ****, wouldn't you. Of course you would.

Knife crime is black crime. Be honest,
But you won't be. Honesty is 'wacism'.

The knife went in

Listening as I do every day to the accounts people give of their lives, I am struck by the very small part in them which they ascribe to their own efforts, choices, and actions. Implicitly, they disagree with Bacon’s famous dictum that “chiefly the mould of a man’s fortune is in his own hands.” Instead, they experience themselves as putty in the hands of fate.

It is instructive to listen to the language they use to describe their lives. The language of prisoners in particular teaches much about the dishonest fatalism with which people seek to explain themselves to others, especially when those others are in a position to help them in some way. As a doctor who sees patients in a prison once or twice a week, I am fascinated by prisoners’ use of the passive mood and other modes of speech that are supposed to indicate their helplessness. They describe themselves as the marionettes of happenstance.

Not long ago, a murderer entered my room in the prison shortly after his arrest to seek a prescription for the methadone to which he was addicted. I told him that I would prescribe a reducing dose, and that within a relatively short time my prescription would cease. I would not prescribe a maintenance dose for a man with a life sentence.

“Yes,” he said, “it’s just my luck to be here on this charge.”

Luck? He had already served a dozen prison sentences, many of them for violence, and on the night in question had carried a knife with him, which he must have known from experience that he was inclined to use. But it was the victim of the stabbing who was the real author of the killer’s action: if he hadn’t been there, he wouldn’t have been stabbed.

My murderer was by no means alone in explaining his deed as due to circumstances beyond his control. As it happens, there are three stabbers (two of them unto death) at present in the prison who used precisely the same expression when describing to me what happened. “The knife went in,” they said when pressed to recover their allegedly lost memories of the deed.

The knife went in—unguided by human hand, apparently. That the long-hated victims were sought out, and the knives carried to the scene of the crimes, was as nothing compared with the willpower possessed by the inanimate knives themselves, which determined the unfortunate outcome.

The rest is here.

Do you remember the great Adolescence debate?

There are epidemics of knife crime in the UK, but none of them involve 13-year-old white boys from stable homes murdering female contemporaries because their brains have been warped by online influencers.

A major source of knife crime in London is black teenagers stabbing other black teenagers
because they dared to step into the territory of – or otherwise diss – a rival gang. Last year there was a knife-related murder most days of the year in England and Wales, and more than 3,500 hospital admissions for knife attacks involving weapons ranging from kitchen knives to machetes. In the past year the Metropolitan Police has recorded 15,182 knife crimes in London, an increase on the previous year. These included the murder of 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa, who was stabbed to death on a bus in Woolwich in January.

Surely this would be the sort of thing a dramatist might be interested in? But I suppose that the structure of companies such as Netflix, and certainly the structure of our political debate, does not incline to dwelling on uncomfortable subjects when comparatively comfortable fictional ones are there for the taking.

As though to prove this thesis just consider the character of Lucy Powell. Sadly, the member for Manchester Central is not a fictional creation. She is a 50-year-old Labour MP whose castigating and morally superior tone has delighted the nation ever since she was sent to parliament by the electorate in 2012. She is currently leader of the House of Commons.

Last week Ms Powell was on Any Questions? on BBC Radio 4. During the discussion the conservative writer Tim Montgomerie mentioned a recent Channel 4 programme called Groomed: A National Scandal. This was a fine and long overdue work of documentary – not drama – in which Channel 4 interviewed five British women who as young girls had been groomed (as in systematically and repeatedly raped) by men of mainly Pakistani Muslim origin.

With this having bubbled away as a scandal in British public life for a quarter of a century now, you might have thought that the stories of the thousands of young women who have been abused by what must be many thousands of men would be a real national scandal. And one which by now would be such familiar, well-trodden terrain that there is hardly anything new to say. Yet it is a demonstration of the disgrace upon a disgrace of the way this country has behaved in this century that the Channel 4 documentary was in fact not just heartbreaking but genuinely revelatory.

Unfortunately, the moment that Montgomerie raised the question of Groomed, the morally superior lungs of Lucy Powell burst forth. Speaking in a tone so high-handed and self-righteous it would make Emily Thornberry coo, Powell said: ‘Oh, we want to blow that little trumpet now, do we? Let’s get that dog whistle out, shall we, yeah?’

It was an astonishing outburst. And although everyone – even Labour MPs – should be allowed the occasional infelicitous turn of phrase, or brain fart, Powell’s explosion was none of these things. Her rage was directed at the notion of even mentioning the biggest child abuse scandal in British history. A woman who doubtless thinks she is a decent and moral human being clearly believed that bringing up the industrial-scale gang rape of British children is the actual disgrace, rather than the scandal itself.

The elites and the political class [within 1st world nations] are doing   this   deliberately.

I am certain of it.

['this'.....seeking, intentionally, to destroy the normal, social 'functionality' of all 1st world nations.]

That is the only conclusion that a rational person could come to.  ....imo.

i.e.
We, 1st world culture, in 2025, seem to be intentionally encouraging the abandonment of the sanctity and the intent, of what are God's 10 Commandments.

sanctity = =
1 holiness; saintliness.
2 ultimate importance and inviolability.

JUST CONSIDER......what may be, the real consequence......to a society,
which DID respect [and which did   NOT   discard ],
just the last 6 of God's 10 Commandments.  ???

5. Honour thy father and thy mother.
6. Thou shalt do no murder.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness....
10. Thou shalt not covet....any thing that is thy neighbour's.

         For all Ten Commandments......
         examine Exodus 20    KJV

.

Supposedly, many of the people of our 1st world cultures, even today,
would claim to respect the [historic] person and character of Jesus.

And, Jesus did encourage us all,
to follow and to obey the 'simple' laws of God,
because Jesus obviously knew, that the 'fruit' [the consequence] of respecting those laws,
would be an example to others, of personal righteousness.

Matthew 6:33
......seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;.......

Matthew 19:17
[Jesus said].....if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18  He saith unto him, Which?
Jesus said,
Thou shalt do no murder,
Thou shalt not commit adultery,
Thou shalt not steal,
Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19  Honour thy father and thy mother: and,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Psalms 119:1
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

Isaiah 51:7
Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

Q.
What is wrong with not stealing,
...with not committing adultery [covenant breaking],
...with not lusting after, what other persons lawfully possess,
...with personal honesty,
...with not committing murder ?

Toxic masculinity, eh?

Least Masculine Society In Human History Decides Masculinity Is A Growing Threat

U.S. - As society becomes increasingly dominated by nerds, hipsters, and computer programmers, people have fixated on what they think is our biggest problem: masculinity.

"It's just toxic and causes nothing but problems," said Elisha Mcewen, a vegan activist and no threat whatsoever to spiders or tight jar lids. "I was sharing my feelings on masculinity with other men in my drum circle, and we all agreed that if we ever encountered masculinity, we would run far away."

Masculinity is said to have in the past been the cause of such things as violence, war, bullying, defeating the Nazis, carving society out of untamed wilderness, and landing men on the moon, but now masculinity is being driven out of society to make sure nothing like those things ever happens again. However, there are reports that masculinity still lurks out there, which is a source of anxiety to modern men and causes them to have upset tummies.

"I am just so worried that somewhere out there someone is still knowingly producing testosterone," said Wyatt Lockhart, a Twitch streamer who had never thrown a punch outside of a video game. "I constantly have to find a safe place to calm down just thinking about it."

Duke Miller, a Marine sergeant and one of the few remaining examples of traditional masculinity, was asked about his feelings on the negative view of masculinity, but he seemed confused by the word "feelings" and then punched out an elk just because.
