Fire nearby…
Apr 1st, 2025 at 10:19pm

Helicopters, fire Brigade trucks… smoke filled air…
House fire (we heard explosion) and 15 trucks attending…
And a bush fire… thankfully that’s under control.
Daughter coming home from gym driving down our road and saw flames above tree tops nearby.

Just when I thought fire danger period nearly over.
Gosh it’s noisy overhead.
Went to look just now and red glow from fire has darkened down…
Report says not yet under control….
But I will stay up now until it says it is.

22 vehicles now responding! You will probably hear it on tomorrows news.
Here is a screen shot of location for you Bobby… not a city… a township.

Unless you can find a way to earn a minimum of $300000 a year in Australia you’re screwed.

Don’t even think about being able to afford children at that  bare minimum threshold.

It’s all safe now… quiet and misty this morning.
I wouldn’t go to bed to sleep until all alarm noises stopped.
I kept going outside often to check.
This is what we learned at fire brigade meeting… to be vigil and prepare to act/leave etc.
22 fire vehicles attended… whew … some to control bush fire nearby that caught ablaze … lots of trees here. And…. a hellova lot of falling autumn leaves …
I have to go down to bay a couple days but will go do sticky beak drive by on Friday when I’m back.

Not far enough from the madding crowd... but probably a lot more civilised.  Name sounds a bit cheesy ...... you all take care.
