Sen. Duckworth calls on SecDef Hegseth to resign
Mar 29th, 2025 at 8:53am

Senator Tammy Duckworth, a military veteran who was co-piloting a Black Hawk over Iraq when it was hit by an RPG fired by insurgents, causing her to become a double amputee, has said that Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth must resign. I have to agree with her. He is a TV show host who is way over his head in this role and in no way qualified.

Had this been done by an Officer in the military, they'd have been dishonourably discharged and probably ended up in prison for this display of gross incompetence. It's just pure luck that no US servicemen or women were not killed as a result of this breach of security. But it's not just him who should resign. So should Mike Waltz, who invited the journalist into the chat. Also, Gabbard and Ratcliffe should resign after committing blatant perjury at a Senate committee hearing on multiple occasions.

There's no doubt whatsoever that all of them should resign.

However, these "people" have no remorse or shame so it's never gonna happen.

They also have Trumps' support, so nothing punitive will happen. Maybe when the Republicans lose the next federal election in four years time, the Democrats can revisit pressing charges of perjury and charges relating to the mishandling of classified information against these morons? Something needs to be done to restore faith in the US government and these Congressional Committee Hearings, because thus far all we have seen is these Trump appointees lie and obfuscate under oath non-stop without fear of any consequences.

Trump will just issue everyone with pre emptive pardons, just like the dems.

Fareed Zakaria defined the term as "hatred of President Trump so intense that it impairs people's judgment"

Lets check in at 5pm on 23rd July 2025 then at 5pm on 30th July

Maybe he will, but if he does not, then they are fair game.

While we're talking about Pete - WhiskeyLeaks - Hegseth:

"Pete Hegseth admitted to paying $50,000 as part of a legal settlement with a woman who accused him of raping her in 2017."

Why would he do that?   Undecided
