If this rally's trend (since Jan 2023) continues - and it appears that it will - there will be a quick rise to the next psychological resistance level - to near USD3500, probably by August-September, then a fast rise to near USD4000 from October to December.

Another feature of this run since 2023, is the predictable resistance at the 50-dollar point.

When the futures, then spot, price establishes itself at an even hundred, then moves towards the next 50 dollar mark, it will be driven back by anything up to 50 dollars or more.

As the price just breached USD3050 on the futures, the spot price dropped by over USD10. This will increase as the futures/spot prices continually test USD3050 until resistance drops off.

Yep... And it hit USD3052 on the futures.

Here's to the algorithms selling off at the prescribed values!

The COMEX, between 8:20AM and 1:00PM New York time, tonight, will determine how hard spot price will be 'punished'!

China and India have been buying gold, in a secretive way for a decade.

By would they buy treasury bills in bankrupt western democracies.

Yep... spot left the COMEX at just over USD3030 down from the pre-COMEX spot high of USD3046.

Post-COMEX trading appears set to test USD3050 again today.

The DXY is holding above 103 down from its recent highs of over 107.

Well, the COMEX supported the spot price, from USD2035 at its open to USD3037 at its close, reaching a low of USD3027.

However, after the close, gold immediately rallied to near its current USD3045.

Let's see how the currently generally bullish Asian markets respond by about 10 AM Hong Kong time.

A correction of at least USD25 is expected within 2-3 business days, most likely at the COMEX, but... let's see...

And it looks like the 50-dollar resistance is having its effect with the breaching of USD3050 only occurring briefly twice during intraday trading before being slapped down below USD3040.

The question now is: will the spot price at the COMEX stay above USD3025?

Reckon they'll phase out gold and silver metal in favour of digital gold and silver. It's only natural to follow the redundancy of Cash in physical form.

You might think that, but the reverse is happening.

Central banks around the world are hoovering up gold at record rates... when that happens you can be sure that (a) they're not doing it on a whim and (b) that central banks are anticipating longterm economic downturn.

On top of that, the Chinese and Indian governments are encouraging their citizens to buy gold and silver, (not that they need much encouragement).

Then there's the mountains of physical gold being repatriated into the US.

Anything cash and digital can be manipulated and disappeared by governments so, if tough times are coming, buy gold...and silver.
