The lesbian “diversity hire” captain of a Royal New Zealand Navy ship that ran aground and sank off Samoa has been charged with negligence along with two other officers over the loss of the vessel.

The $100 million HMNZS Manawanui, which was under the command of UK-born homosexual Yvonne Gray, crashed on the south side of Upolu on October 5, 2024, due to human error including failure to turn off autopilot, an inquiry found last year

The $100 million HMNZS Manawanui, which was under the command of UK-born homosexual Yvonne Gray, crashed on the south side of Upolu on October 5, 2024, due to human error including failure to turn off autopilot, an inquiry found last year

Commander Gray, who moved to New Zealand with her “wife” in 2012, was lauded in a June 2023 New Zealand Department of Defence press release celebrating her and three other female commanders, in which one gushed about a culture change in the navy due to a “focus on diversity, equity and respect for personnel”.

Another of the female captains praised alongside Ms Gray, Fiona Jameson, crashed her own ship in May 2024.

“The direct cause of the grounding has been determined as a series of human errors which meant the ship’s autopilot was not disengaged when it should have been,” Chief of Navy Rear Admiral Garin Golding said while announcing the results of the inquiry in November.

“The crew did not realise Manawanui remained in autopilot and, as a consequence, mistakenly believed its failure to respond to direction changes was the result of a thruster control failure.

“Having mistakenly assessed a thruster control failure, standard procedures should have prompted ship’s crew to check that the ship was under manual control rather than in autopilot. This check did not occur.

“Remaining in autopilot resulted in the ship maintaining a course toward land, until grounding and eventually stranding.”

The Greens hosted embattled anti-Israel academic Randa Abdel-Fattah as the keynote speaker at an international women’s day event on Friday, as the left-wing party’s deputy leader said the nation had to stop using words such as inclusivity, harmony and social cohesion.

Senator Faruqi has been a strong supporter of Dr Abdel Fattah, recently grilling officials in Senate estimates of having succumbed to “racist” pressure in deciding to suspend Dr Abdel-Fattah’s grant.

“As a brown, Muslim woman … I find it deeply, deeply disturbing for a white, male education minister to lead the charge against Dr Abdel-Fattah, an Arab woman,” Senator Faruqi said during hearings.

At the women’s day breakfast, Senator Faruqi said “misogyny is on the rise globally, threatening to undo decades of work”, according to a video she posted on social media.  “We need to be more clear and more resolute about what we are demanding,” she said.

“Nothing less than equality, nothing less, and we need to understand the close connections between all forms of oppression: racism, sexism, classism, and there are many others. And we must also stop using skin-deep, superficial words like inclusivity, harmony, and social cohesion, which our governments have been using over the past 18 months, without any restraint.  “Instead, our fight is for anti-racism, it is for equity, it is for justice, whether here or anywhere else in the world.  Whitewashing, sexism, misogyny, racism, and bigotry is not going to move the dialogue. Telling the truth, unapologetically, and unabashedly, will. And that is what we need to do.”

She played all the cards there - colour card, race card & was herself racist all in one sentence.

She should be run out the Senate & the country.

Her & Payman & now that new Greens candidate in Bankstown Sydney - Omar Sakr - mourning & praising the Ayatollah of Iran.

The fool should realise the Ayatollah would have had him thrown off a tall building - Sakr is gay.

Ohhh the irony Roll Eyes

I read this and I feel sad that our nation has come to this... not because its native people are so bad and so outright evil and hating on outsiders... but because far too many of the outsider brought in are bad and outright evil in their absolute hatred of the way we live.

This is not multi-culturalism living side by side in harmony and enjoying the best of all - it is racism pure and simple - and I miss the days when I could go to Leichhardt and eat Balmain Bugs in garlic sauce at an Italian restaurant, or enjoy the BEST Thai in Drummoyne where the owner had two beautiful little daughters I should have made a deal over.... the book ends..... but I was tied to The Mad Russian in my security days and mingling with two British SAS guys at the Drummoyne pool during Her Maj opening the Commonwealth Games........ or I could go to Ya Habibi's in Bondi and enjoy Lebo and see the belly dancers.... or discuss the goods and bads of Korean food in Darling Harbour with a genuine Korean.....

We all enjoyed that for a while.....but now the summer of our contentment is gone and the winter of our discontent has been foisted upon us by stupid governments, and we are forced to choose a side we may not want to choose.... but which must be done.
