A very simple question that no one will answer is-

After we the taxpayer spend billions replacing the privately owned and poorly maintained since labor privatised them power stations.

Who will own the new power stations?

Quite clearly no private company can afford to buy them for what they cost . They couldn’t afford to maintain what they all ready had!

So will the new taxpayer funded power grid now be back in public hands?

Is this the end of the privatisation of electricity ?

Why can’t anyone answer that, Bowen, Albo?

Possibly no one has thought to plan ahead how the new grid will distribute the new power?

More likely back room deals have been done and it’s assumed that the public is too stupid to ask!

Who invests billions into a industry and than gives it away/ privatised it for a pittance?

We all know, labor can!

I imagine Kristina Keanealy and Peter Beattie will have jobs on the new privatised company that will be price gouging us once it’s all up and hopefully working?

You think that would be a question somebody would ask during the election given electricity is a big issue?

Thank you Vic. Actually it was one of the mean girls- Kristina Keaneley who privatised the power in NSW but I’m sure the LNP was disappointed that they didn’t get too do it!

Now the labor state government is ready to fund the private enterprise for any repairs needed to keep the coal burning till the new power grid is ready.

You are exactly correct that none of these companies are held responsible rather just given taxpayer blank checks to keep their business profitable. Why is that?

Well, we should also ask the same question about Nuclear Power Stations and Nuclear Submarines.     My guess is that it will all be privatised with perhaps a small to medium ownership stake by the relevant State or Federal Government.    Down here, the generating capacity is owned by a couple of companies whilst the distribution of that power is run by many.    When you look at your bill, it may well be true that the KW/h cost has decreased by whatever promise has been made BUT the per day supply cost has increased to in many cases, that cost is more than the power consumed!

Whist having Solar and Batteries is great, you still pay for the privilege of having a distribution network available should you need it - even if you do not.

Are you being deliberately dense? Of course no one knows You're asking people to predict what every future govt will do.  Impossible. It doesn't matter what the current govt tells you. If albo says it will remain in govt hands, and in a decade a liberal govt (or god forbid the greens ) sells it, there is nothing anyone can do about it.
