That doesn't excuse the Nazi salute.
Your obsession with bootlicking billionaires, or trillionaires, isn't healthy.
There was no nazi salute.
There were
two.
You are an idiot.
A slanderous, lying idiot.
Creepy.
Same old grievance politics.
We all watched it happen in real time. We all saw the footage, the screenshots, the GIFs. He performed two straight-armed Nazi salutes, complete with the accompanying expression and theatricality. It was entirely consistent with his public persona, his political associations, and his alignment with Trumpist and MAGA politics.
Yet years later you still feel compelled to construct a protective narrative around it. What's particularly amusing is that you're the one who resurrected this thread in an apparent attempt to score a point, only for the argument to collapse under its own weight.
Meanwhile, Trump's record speaks for itself. His self-inflicted conflict with Iran has ended in strategic failure, his promises on cost-of-living relief and affordability have largely gone undelivered, and by most objective measures many Americans are worse off than they were promised they would be. Despite all of that, your instinct remains to rush to the defence of a man making Nazi salutes.
That, more than anything else, reveals the basis of your support. The economic promises can be abandoned. The anti-establishment rhetoric can be forgotten. The policy failures can be rationalised away. But when accusations of racism arise, you're immediately in the trenches defending them.
It's difficult to avoid the conclusion that this is the one area in which Trump has actually met your expectations.
