G'day Aussie.
I have not driven a Tesla. Is it fun? I don't want to own one but would consider hiring one on a trip just to have some fun in it.
Does it take much time to learn what is needed and with no experience can you just jumped in one and drove off like a hire car IYO?
Cheers.
Yes, it is fun in the sense that the IT stuff is very good. The acceleration is wild, but, as I said, suspension stiff, and steering is like a golf cart.
Worth the experience.
Not overly hard to drive, and to do the basics, yes...pretty much jump in and go, no drama, but you will get all sorts of bells and whistles nagging you if you don't know what they mean. But, you can still stop start, and drive etc. There are no gears of course, no engine, zero noise. Just drive like an electric golf cart. But, to get familiar with
all the clever stuff, takes a bit of time.
It is idiot proof.
Nifty.
