Laugh? He's a Putin patsy. The Palestinian flag's for show. Laugh's joined the Trump train. He's now with Bobby, Frank and Yadda over at Chez Gordon's, living the life, rent paid.
They've had to temper their views too. They've had to become obedient pro-lifers (or in the old boy's case, pro-death). They have to love guns, hate trade, love tariffs, hate the poor. They're obliged to look up every Tom, Dick and Harry's skirt, burn books, ban bottoms, love lies and hate facts. They've always despised immigrants, even when they were once the poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free themselves.
We gave them this freedom and this is what we get. We gave them education, sympathy, income and mental health support, the lot. We patiently explained the facts, page after page on this board devoted to them. They responded with memes, meltdowns and mindless unrelated Bible quotes with no point at all.
Laugh's signed up for the lot. He accepts Bernie's facts in full. Of course DL's going to be worse for Gaza, Laugh knows that. He's got a one-word response to defend his conversion:
disrupter. Of course no one gets it. It's impossible to get.
Presumably, we're supposed to look enigmatically into the distance, stroke our chins and savour the sheer cunning of it all.
Disruption.Let's encourage Netanyahu to go wild. Let's give Putin Eastern Europe and China the Pacific. Let's start a global trade war. Let's ban immigration. Let's abandon all emissions targets and hit the boiling point of no return by 2060.
The US election makes it clear. We don't have economic or technical problems, we have a
political problem. We've solved many of our most pressing social problems. Unemployment, crime, infant mortality, disease and a whole host of symptoms are at record historic lows in the developed world. We haven't been at war for the longest period in our history. The problem we face now?
Disruption. The biggest act of political self-destruction ever - bigger even than fascism. Hitler, Mussolini, Tito and Franco were never elected fair and square, they came to power through various forms of coups. These regimes were a response to economic upheaval and war.
In the US, we now have half a population walking willingly, if blindly, towards authoritarianism without any force, economic upheaval or war at all. There are no domestic wars, the economy is the best shape in years, crime has never been lower, all facts.
The authoritarian conditions are manufactured - tabloid hyperbole over trans athletes and and AI-generated clickbait on immigrant pet-eaters. The social media algorithms feed the clickbait, radicalizing users even further. The mainstream media buys in, either echoing it on Fox/Newsmax, or playing whack-a-mole on straight news sources.
Unfortunately for reality, the fact-checked straight news media gets caught in the journalistic game of presenting both sides of a story, as if each side had equal merit. The fakers love this, acting all butthurt when they get caught out, but knowing it'll all come out in the wash.
This process of disruption is not started by one politician or celebrity, but it is exploited by one. It's also funded, backed and propagated by a foreign criminal adversary, one who's been in the business of fake news and social control for over 20 years, who even used fake news to come to power. The disruption is mediated by useful idiots like Tucker and the up and coming social media influencers getting paid to get the message out. Some have been exposed. Others remain at large.
Laugh's DL is no mere disrupter. He has a Master too. Both are working overtime to save each other from the fate of all fascist disrupters: downfall.
Laugh knows. He used to be a bit of a disrupter himself. Now he's on the train, his heart belongs to Daddy. He's all Vlad's.
