Yes - but Christianity and Judaism have moved beyond the hatred involved in the early days of desperate struggle .... something reminiscent of the modern Aboriginal trying to find the path between primitive tribal conflict over the water hole and modern life... the Muslims in many cases have not even found the path yet.

But as a man of the cloth you will know that.

The equivalence is false for many reasons.

The OT descriptions of violence are about the Jewish wars of conquest and defence of Israel. They describe historical events, enmities, struggles with enemies who have mostly disappeared since. The Koran describes internal wars among the Arabs and against Jews who still exist, which are ongoing for ever until the Koran final solution. THAT enmity against the Jews and disbelievers is ongoing today and for ever. The instruction to kill and oppress them is alive and valid now and forever, and for every place on earth, not just for Araby in the 7th century. So much for the difference between the Jews and Muslims.

As for the difference between Christians and Muslims, you need to take into account the NT which has NO instructions or teachings on war and violence for the followers of Jesus, quite the opposite, it explicitly teaches love and non-violence specifically for the time and place (Roman occupation and oppression) and for ever and everywhere.
