As tech founders go, it's the gates to the Trump base they're after. Rupert discovered this long ago, before they even had a Trump base.

It's also about money and power. The Silicon Valley crowd are in bed with the heirs - rich kids like Don Jnr, who get around. It's quite a small world, with highly concentrated money.

Also, unlimited wealth and power isolates. You start having strange thoughts. You start to believe the flatterers in the court. You're the only one who can do it. Your minions need to obey. The government needs to get out of your way.

There's no doubt that Trump, having lived most of his life surrounded by courts of sycophants, is their victim - hence the 'Emperor's New Clothes' atmosphere to some of Trump's antics.

Also, there was a moment during Trump's Rogan appearance where Trump's speech patterns mirrored those of Temple Grandin.
