She was always sexy. It's hard to pin down exactly why, because she was always professional and efficient in her game. Little details I guess, between shots, how she walked and tucked away the balls.

To be brutally honest, I think it was because she became a contender while she was still young, and always kept the habits of a girl.

She played like Navratilova (her childhood idol) and I remember adoring her too. Sort of. Navratilova was a bit scary.

Yeaaahh... Kind of reminds me of Claire. The way she would tuck away my balls, and have me hard and pinned down. Exactly why she was always professional with her little details. Guess how she walked between shots? Always sexy, she was.

Claire did play a bit like Navratilova. 173cm tall and left-handed. But, I knew that I was the only guy for Claire. Literally.

She found it refreshing that there was a guy like myself out there that could satisfy her pre-match warm-up routines, including the various yoga poses. I made a few secretive photographs of Claire, whilst she was about ready to play. Made about $4000 from submitting the artwork to various men's magazines.

Of course, being 18 years old at the time, I was naive and disrespectful enough to actually go through with getting cash payment at a local nightclub.

Having figured out that she was the one that backed into me with her ambulance. She told me that if I had waited out the weekend, she could have gotten me $20,000 with those photos taken to the Gold Coast nightclubs, and we could have split the money.

I have always wondered why her employer reprimanded Claire by making Claire pay for the damage to the front end grill of the ambulance...

Our mutual adoration of the unobtainable might be leading us astray from the thread subject  Smiley

Most business startups fail. Some continue for five or ten years, and then fail. Most likely we're looking at business startup with no capital and no reasonable business plan, BUT with some internet hype, which might actually succeed.

That's what I would do, if I had an idea. I would talk it up on the internet, garner some supporters who will buy in when I go public (ie sell shares.)

That's a bullshit company.

Trying to attain the allegedly unattainable, or going against the flow of expectation, is what is essentially pertinent, in this forum topic.

A fine ripost, but to make a sally you must talk about business.

Of topic, but three of my early romantic interests were named "Sally". I only achieved satisfaction with one of them: the first. Sally 2 defeated my advances then turned up with a viable partner her own age. Sally 3 probably wasn't pullable at all, I think maybe she was a lesbian.

Somehow, I get the feeling you would have no trouble going after Sally 3 "on the rebound".

Anyone can start a business. Most businesses fail.

Technically I started a business (got an ABN number) but it was only because my uptown employer required me to. They just wanted to avoid insurance, superannuation and employee protection laws.

If I lodged a tax return for that year, I might get something back. But I'd prefer to think that I paid taxes.

What kind of bullshit is incorporation? You can buy the company car, at a good price, the week before your company goes broke. The bank gets whatever assets your company still held, while providers of goods and services to your company get nothing. Employees get nothing, not even back pay. Everyone gets screwed EXCEPT the failed businessman.

Health Care Card is good, it gets you discounts on pharmaceuticals and access to more free doctors.

But the pensioner card is better. You get daily public transit for under $3 and access to private sector discounts. It's much easier to get if you're over 55, though if you're disabled it's available at any age.

I'm in Perth and the WA Seniors Card (which I've had since 2020) is even better for public transport (buses, trains and ferries).

You get free off peak travel Monday to Friday and all day free travel on weekends and public holidays. If you travel during peak times (7am to 9am and 3:30pm to 7pm  Mon-Fri) it's a concession fare.

There's also a "Seniors Week" every year here in November and Seniors Card holders get free public transport all day, every day for the entire week.

so the highlight of your life is getting "discounted public transport"

Not really since I probably only use public transport once or twice a year.

And I haven't used the Seniors Card for anything else since I got it 4 years ago.

That reminds me - when I receive my brand spanking new Pensioner Concession Card in the next 2 weeks I'll have to remember to register it with the Department of Transport so I can get half price car registration and a free drivers licence renewal from now on.

Oh, and I'll have to see my GP's medical practice and register the card with them too.

The "secret to a happy life" for me today is to watch you apparently foaming at the mouth when I post something like that.

Has it ever occurred to you that I'm doing it deliberately just to see your reaction?

And it's always so predictable.
