According to the NRL grand final forecast, Melbourne should win this final quite easily.

I rarely follow it but think they often do well in grand finals

Not just "well". Melbourne should win by 13+ points. I might even do a pick the score tomorrow afternoon.

I still believe that Melbourne can win by at least 12 points.

Given the circumstances of the weather, the Panthers might win the first half. But the Melbourne Storm should race away with the win.

Didn't care who won but gee some bad decisions went Penrith's way.

Possibly the worst finals series refereeing in memory, the Manly game was a one sided disgrace. I don't support or like them either.

The bunker ref is a life member of the Panthers.

He denied a try the ball was down

Yes it was a try, even if it wasn't the reason wasn't because it was held up.

The kick out on the full was an incorrect ruling as I seen it. The catchers foot was in the air. The ball was caught in play and he then grounded his foot over the line.

As the Bunker Refs, etc have up to 15 different camera angles to make their decision from.
While Commentators (like the dopey 'ex-player' types Roll Eyes) only have one or two angles to replay on.
I would say, that 85% of decisions overall were spot on - it was definitely the Storm player's own arm under the ball to make it NO TRY (Held up) after Panthers exhibited previous successful preventions of like action. Wink
I mean, we could say the Melbourne Storm threw about 16 Forward passes in the game after review too. Roll Eyes

League - like Aussie Rules are both EMOTIONALLY ruled Sports here. They can't get it Rule/Structure wise as good and better as Cricket and Rugby Union.
Hell - look at that pathetic League SCRUM!  Grin Grin
Any sport would be embarrassed to have something so STUPID/BIAS as that.  Tongue

When you win 3 (straight) out of 4 (straight) GF appearances. The Panthers had 'every right' to win their 4TH straight GF out of 5 straight GF appearances.
A miracle against the mediocrity of NRL Salary Cap system (and AFL draft system) - where basically even the Great White Chokers: the Cronulla Sharks have won a GF!! Grin

The Pink Panthers really did shut every facet of the Melbourne (looked like the N.Queensland Cowboys Roll Eyes) Storm's winning plays down and put on something NEW for the Crowd and Audiences like...
Allowing the Storm players to go 'un-contested' for the bombed ball against them. It paid dividends very well and they even sucked Storm into thinking they would continue to do so 'every time'. Wink
Just one of many 'new tactical' facets that Penrith brought to the table.
...while Storm didn't bring anything NEW at all and probably used big Nelson's ban as an excuse for victimhood? Roll Eyes

Panthers showed nothing against the Sharks who traditionally did the Choke: (Panthers didn't win it, the Sharks lost it.)
Panthers showed 'everything' against the Storm.

PS: I go for the Sharks. Reckon Panthers were the most well deserved Team to win the GF. A right royal sucker punch in the end, considering their whole season.

Melbourne is no longer the Sporting Capital of Australia!!! Grin Grin

Unless you are writing that with a provocative intent, I would suggest that your boss sends you back to relearning how to make beds.

I watched at least 3 incidents that should have the referee (or his handler) sent back to reserve grade refereeing.

And you don't send a player (who had a mouthguard in place) off for biting. That is not possible.

That's because it was moved to Townsville, dumbnut.

The Cowboys were robbed of a final.

Melbourne were robbed, in their final.

You have to admit, whilst Albanese is in power, and whilst his girlfriend threatens to leave him for someone living near Bondi, Sydney will always get awarded NRL grand final matches.

When Dutton gets his chance to become PM, you could imagine that it will be a Redcliffe v Townsville final.
