Israel and US repeating the mistakes of history
Sep 25th, 2024 at 1:48pm

The 76-year-long resistance of the Palestinians is heroic.

Hezbollah have a history of defeating Israel since 1982. Israel may bomb buildings but the fighters and people remain.

During the Korean war, US pilots reported that there was nothing left to bomb in North Korea so they bombed the rubble of previous bombings.

Result: North Koreans were not defeated after 3 years of being bombed to rubble..

The US failed and was chased out of South Korea after bombing North Vietnam for 5 years.

Quote:
Operation Rolling Thunder [bombing North Vietnam] was a frequently interrupted bombing campaign that began on 24 February 1965 and lasted until the end of October 1968. ...

Result: US lost.

Those who ignore the lessons of history are bound to repeat the errors.

Dear LTYC,
there are no good guys in the Middle East.

They are all criminals in the Middle East -
other countries should stop supplying weapons to both sides.
There is no plan to stop them from fighting forever -
an arms embargo might help but they would continue fighting with sticks and stones -
nothing can stop them from killing each other.

On what planet ???     LOL!

Hezbollah and Hamas 'fighters' have no honour.

They pretend to want to die, so as to be martyr's for Allah,
all the while, hiding among their own wives and children.

Launching rockets into Israel.

And when Israel hits back, AT THE Hezbollah and Hamas 'fighters' [who are hiding under womens dresses],
Israel sends them all to Allah's paradise, as Allah's martyr's.

Just as Allah wanted.

i.e.
Allah wants ALL moslems to be martyr's, for his Holy Cause.

[......and in any case, Imams declare that moslem men, women, and moslem children, ARE ALL LEGITIMATE COMBATANTS, fighting in Allah's Cause [aka JIHAD].]

.

Hezbollah and Hamas 'fighters' have no honour.

If they had true ISLAMIC honour, they would directly confront the Israelis in battle.
......OR THEY WOULD DIE, TRYING TO.

as per ------ >

"SEEKING DEATH, FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH"
   < ---- from the Koran

THE DEATH CLAUSE IN THE CONTRACT, OF ALLEGIANCE TO ALLAH's RELIGION...

"Say: "...If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!"  "
Koran 62.06

n.b.
Koran 62.06 is admonishing the believer, that his only true love, in this life [if he is a true moslem], is to die, fighting in Allah's cause. !!!

as per........
"O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter.
Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but Him ye would not harm in the least. For Allah hath power over all things."
Koran 9.38, 39

But the 'brave' Hezbollah and Hamas 'fighters' are afraid to die, fighting in Allah's cause,
because we know, that the 'brave' Hezbollah and Hamas 'fighters', 'fight',
while hiding their 'military forces',
......among women and children and the infirm.

Shameful COWARDS.

No honour.

.

MARTYRDOM, BY THE MOSLEM, FIGHTING IN ALLAH'S CAUSE,
IS PROMOTED BY MOHAMMED,
AND ALSO BY ALLAH [verbatim from Mohammed]....

"The Prophet said, "Nobody who dies and finds good from Allah (in the Hereafter) would wish to come back to this world even if he were given the whole world and whatever is in it, except the martyr who, on seeing the superiority of martyrdom, would like to come back to the world and get killed again (in Allah's Cause)." "
hadithsunnah/bukhari/ #004.052.053

"The Prophet said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Were it not for some men amongst the believers who dislike to be left behind me and whom I cannot provide with means of conveyance, I would certainly never remain behind any Sariya' (army-unit) setting out in Allah's Cause. By Him in Whose Hands my life is! I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred."
hadithsunnah/bukhari/ #004.052.054

"The Prophet said, "Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world even if he got everything on the earth, except a Mujahid who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the dignity he receives (from Allah)." "
hadithsunnah/bukhari/ #004.052.072

"I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The example of a Mujahid [religious fighter] in Allah's Cause-- and Allah knows better who really strives in His Cause----is like a person who fasts and prays continuously. Allah guarantees that He will admit the Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and war booty." "
hadithsunnah/bukhari/ #004.052.046

i.e. Mohammed is reported as saying that for a moslem, religious fighting, is the same as the highest religious devotion.
Jihad [religious fighting], is as if a muslim 'fasts and prays continuously'.
And that Allah guarantees that a Mujahid [religious fighter] will enter Paradise, if he is killed.

as per.......
"Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise):
they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain:...."
Koran 9.111

.

p.s.
Do not scold me, Yadda.

THESE EVIDENCES [above],
ARE ALL FROM 'HOLY' ISLAMIC SOURCES.

Encouraging moslems, to seek death through martyrdom,
in the service, of Allah's Cause [aka JIHAD].

I have always wonder why modern day Israel and or Jerusalem is called holy land.  If i am an alien, looking from space, that place is simple hell on Earth.  Just imagine how many people have died there over the century due to war and conflict.

Those who are ignorant of their Creator.........

Job 21:11
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
12  They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
13  They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
14  Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
15  What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
16  Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

.

Why are the people of Israel and the land of Israel special to God ?

Deuteronomy 11:11
But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
12  A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

God loves Israel, and Zion........

Deuteronomy 32:8
When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
9  For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
10  He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

Psalms 87:2
The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Those who love the LORD [and His righteousness] will live.

Psalms 119:143
Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.
144  The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

The Jews/Israelites have been fighting for how long?

There can only ever be an answer when a state of Israel is recognised by the opposing party. As long as the Arabs refuse to let Israelis have there own "country", there will never be lasting peace.

The Hamas Covenant

The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement was issued on August 18, 1988. The Islamic Resistance Movement, also known as the HAMAS, is an extremist fundamentalist Islamic organization operating in the territories under Israeli control. Its Covenant is a comprehensive manifesto comprised of 36 separate articles, all of which promote the basic HAMAS goal of destroying the State of Israel through Jihad (Islamic Holy War). The following are excerpts of the HAMAS Covenant:

Goals of the HAMAS:
"The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine." (Article 6)

On the destruction of Israel:

"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it." (Preamble)

The exclusive Moslem nature of the area:

"The land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf [Holy Possession] consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. No one can renounce it or any part, or abandon it or any part of it." (Article 11)

"Palestine is an Islamic land... Since this is the case, the Liberation of Palestine is an individual duty for every Moslem wherever he may be." (Article 13)

The call to jihad:

"The day the enemies usurp part of Moslem land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Moslem. In the face of the Jews' usurpation, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised." (Article 15)

"Ranks will close, fighters joining other fighters, and masses everywhere in the Islamic world will come forward in response to the call of duty, loudly proclaiming: 'Hail to Jihad!'. This cry will reach the heavens and will go on being resounded until liberation is achieved, the invaders vanquished and Allah's victory comes about." (Article 33)

Rejection of a negotiated peace settlement:

"[Peace] initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement... Those conferences are no more than a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of Islam... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility." (Article 13)

Condemnation of the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty:

"Egypt was, to a great extent, removed from the circle of struggle [against Zionism] through the treacherous Camp David Agreement. The Zionists are trying to draw other Arab countries into similar agreements in order to bring them outside the circle of struggle. ...Leaving the circle of struggle against Zionism is high treason, and cursed be he who perpetrates such an act." (Article 32)

Anti-Semitic incitement:

The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: 'O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him." (Article 7)

"The enemies have been scheming for a long time ... and have accumulated huge and influential material wealth. With their money, they took control of the world media... With their money they stirred revolutions in various parts of the globe... They stood behind the French Revolution, the Communist Revolution and most of the revolutions we hear about... With their money they formed secret organizations - such as the Freemasons, Rotary Clubs and the Lions - which are spreading around the world, in order to destroy societies and carry out Zionist interests... They stood behind World War I ... and formed the League of Nations through which they could rule the world. They were behind World War II, through which they made huge financial gains... There is no war going on anywhere without them having their finger in it." (Article 22)

"Zionism scheming has no end, and after Palestine, they will covet expansion from the Nile to the Euphrates River. When they have finished digesting the area on which they have laid their hand, they will look forward to more expansion. Their scheme has been laid out in the 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion'." (Article 32)

"The HAMAS regards itself the spearhead and the vanguard of the circle of struggle against World Zionism... Islamic groups all over the Arab world should also do the same, since they are best equipped for their future role in the fight against the warmongering Jews." (Article 32)

Israel was created almost eighty years ago, when the UN divided the region known as Palestine (under the shared administration of Egypt ad Syria) was equally divided in two - with one half becoming the state of Israel - with the remaining half, as the (still unrecognised) state of Palestine.

Over the years, after conflict after conflict with Egypt and Syria - and after land grab after land grab - all that remains of Palestine are the three small pockets of the Gaza Strip, West Bank and Golan Heights.

The Gaza Strip and the West Bank are currently under Israeli military occupation and rule.
Half of the Golan Heights is currently under Israeli military occupation and rule.
In these pockets the Israeli military are forcing Palestinians from their homes, knocking these homes down - and inviting Israelis into occupied Palestine to build their own homes - under IDF protection - even supplying these Israeli civilians with weapons, should any Palestinian families object.

But opposing ANYTHING Israel, Netanyahu or the IDF does - will immediately see you braded an "anti-semite"

For eighty years the western world has turned a blind eye to ALL of this, with the US supplying all the armaments Israel needs to do this - gratis

This is how Hamas and Hezbollah came to exist, as the ONLY voice to speak up for Palestine and its people - where the rest of the world failed.

The US could end these wars with the Gazans and Lebanese people tomorrow, if it REALLY wanted to - by cutting the supply of armaments Netanyahu and his IDF need to continue.

I say "Netanyahu and his IDF" - as Israel and its citizens are NOT in majority support of his "personal war"

Cheesy Cheesy  arrant nonsense.

Israel defends itself — and may save Western civilisation

How will we ever repay the debt we owe Israel? What the Jewish state has done in the past year – for its own defence, but in the process and not coincidentally for the security of all of us – will rank among the most important contributions to the defence of Western civilisation in the past three-quarters of a century.

Having been hit with a devastating attack on its people, beyond the fetid imagining of some of the vilest antisemites, Israel has in 12 months done nothing less than redraw the balance of global security, not just in the region, but in the wider world.

It has eliminated thousands of the terrorists whose commitment to a savage theocratic ideology has claimed so many lives across the region and the world for decades. It has, with extraordinary tactical accuracy, dispatched some of the masterminds of the worst evil on the planet, including most recently Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader in Lebanon. It has repelled and then reversed the previously inexorably advancing power of one of the world’s most terrifying autocracies, the Islamic Republic of Iran. It has demonstrated to all the West’s foes, including Iran’s allies in Moscow and Beijing, that our system of free markets and free people, and the voluntary alliance network we have constructed to defend it, generates resources and capabilities of vast technical superiority.

Above all, it has provided an unexpected but crucial reminder to our enemies that there are at least some willing and able to pursue and defeat them whatever the risk to our own lives and resources.

The only appropriate responses to Israel’s gallantry, fortitude and skill from us - its nominal allies, especially in the US – are “thank you” and “how can we help?”

Instead, time and again Israel’s supposed friends, including the administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, have, while expressing sympathy over the outrage of October 7 and uttering the usual support for “Israel’s right to defend itself,” repeatedly tried to restrain it from doing just that. Their early, valuable support has been steadily diminished by the way they have too often connived with the anti-Israel extremists in their own party.

Before Israel had even buried its dead last October and as Hamas was busy murdering its hostages, there were calls for Israel to ceasefire. For a year we have heard our leaders’ “balanced” condemnations of Hamas and its terror masters on the one hand and the Jewish state on the other, a false equivalence that says more about the moral disorder in our own politics than about Israel’s motives and actions.
...
Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few, Winston Churchill said of the men of the Royal Air Force after they had repelled Hitler’s Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain. (Reminder to some recently confused “conservatives”: The former were the good guys; the latter the real villains.)

We should echo those words today as we watch in awe what a country smaller in area than New Jersey, with a population less than North Carolina’s and an economy smaller than that of Washington state, has done for all of us.

As Israelis solemnly mark a year since October 7, we should not only redouble our expressions of sympathy and solidarity. We should show them our gratitude, and if we are willing to be really honest, acknowledge a little of our own shame.

Why would any reasonable people accept a foreign entity giving their homeland to European refugees?

The world sees how Europeans treat refugees. Why would they expect Arabs to have higher morals than Europeans?

Palestine was not the UK's or UN's property to give against the wishes of the natives.

The world sees how Europeans treat refugees. Why would they expect Arabs to have higher morals than Europeans?

Palestine was not the UK's or UN's property to give against the wishes of the natives.

It wasn't their homeland until they stole it after the Romans banished the occupants... now the absentee owners are back and they are staying.  could've loved it and joined together as one big happy family - but they chose to try to fight it - and are still losing 76 years later.

Dear LTYC,
there are no good guys in the Middle East.

They are all criminals in the Middle East -
other countries should stop supplying weapons to both sides.
There is no plan to stop them from fighting forever -
an arms embargo might help but they would continue fighting with sticks and stones -
nothing can stop them from killing each other.

They are essentially killing each other over differences in some old stupid religious book full of ancient scribblings and bronzed aged myths none of which is based on truth Sad

It has nothing to do with religion. It is about land and hegemony.

The Israeli Jews wish to exterminate Palestinians and take their land.

Israeli Jews don't want Palestinians living adjacent to them when those Palestinians have grievances over the criminal actions of Israeli Jews.
