Israel was created almost eighty years ago, when the UN divided the region known as Palestine (under the shared administration of Egypt ad Syria) was equally divided in two - with one half becoming the state of Israel - with the remaining half, as the (still unrecognised) state of Palestine.

1 Israel was RE-created.

2 Israel accepted UN resolution in 1947 but Arabs did not and instead started the war, which they lost and losers are not choosers.

Why would any reasonable people accept a foreign entity giving their homeland to European refugees?

The world sees how Europeans treat refugees. Why would they expect Arabs to have higher morals than Europeans?

Palestine was not the UK's or UN's property to give against the wishes of the natives.

Arabs are not reasonable people, they wanted all or nothing, started the war, lost it and should be going back to their homeland in Arabia.

The only appropriate responses to Israel’s gallantry, fortitude and skill from us - its nominal allies, especially in the US – are “thank you” and “how can we help?”

It is the editorial board of the WSJ.

It wasn't their homeland until they stole it after the Romans banished the occupants... now the absentee owners are back and they are staying.  could've loved it and joined together as one big happy family - but they chose to try to fight it - and are still losing 76 years later.

Dear LTYC,
there are no good guys in the Middle East.

They are all criminals in the Middle East -
other countries should stop supplying weapons to both sides.
There is no plan to stop them from fighting forever -
an arms embargo might help but they would continue fighting with sticks and stones -
nothing can stop them from killing each other.

They are essentially killing each other over differences in some old stupid religious book full of ancient scribblings and bronzed aged myths none of which is based on truth Sad

It has nothing to do with religion. It is about land and hegemony.

The Israeli Jews wish to exterminate Palestinians and take their land.

Israeli Jews don't want Palestinians living adjacent to them when those Palestinians have grievances over the criminal actions of Israeli Jews.
