Buongiorno Italia
Sep 25th, 2024 at 5:05am

The sun is shining and it’s warmer after a cooler wet reception from Switzerland.
We are at Lake Como now.

Pizza Frutti de la Mere in Florence—christ that was great!

Gelato to finish even though that was the coldest winter in 21 years or something.

Did you try Lake Como seafood "risotto con pesce persico"?

They also tell stories about Lariosauro cousin of Loch Ness monster.

No we haven’t…. We’ve spent all day at hotel resting as it’s been a dizzying trip! So much to take in!
I will find out if some of the other travellers in our group tried it.
8 of us stayed behind to recoup, 19 went to Milano or a cruise in Como lake.
Sounds like a cool story  Smiley
I will mention it to our well travel guide who’s been around world for this job many years!

I went for a walk out around hotel and by time I came to entrance, the travellers were going on the bus, all asking if I’m going. Geez no  Grin
I say in Italian… arrivederci ….
Thinking of timing it so I see them come back 6.30 tonight. Stuffed!  Grin and me all fresh with a drink sitting pretty  Cool

As I remember, when Italians don't like offered deal they say "domani" or at least they do it in Venice markets.

Talking about Venice, if you visit there have a ride on gondola.

what are they charging these day? Used to be 80 euro 20years ago, which i thought was a little steep at the time, but understandable given it was Venice.

My wife and I had out 'honeymoon' in Venice before we got married. We couldn't get the timing to work any other way.
