That is a long-winded way of stating your conscientious objection to military service. All I did to get out of going to East Timor was to pull the "I don't want to be drugged up whilst fighting" speech to the recruitment officer. It took a hastily written letter signed and approved of by a local microbiologist that made sure that I did not serve time in prison for a couple of weeks as a deserter. "Medically exempt from service" was my rejection letter.

I spent 2 weeks in places where lockdown or gaol would have been like being locked in a 5 star hotel. Never was convicted of a crime.
