Commissioner Webb had earlier being cleared of misconduct over her relationship with a gin supplier.
Police Minister Yasmin Catley says it is common to give alcohol as gifts.
NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb used taxpayers' money to buy more than 100 gift bottles of gin, "using" some herself, an MP has alleged in parliament.
Under parliamentary privilege, independent upper house MP Rod Roberts claimed he had information which suggested "maladministration and potential corruption at the highest level of the New South Wales Police Force".
Some of the allegations are centred on the purchase of so-called 'Commissioner's Gin' which was boxed up and presented as gifts.
However, Mr Roberts, a former police officer, told the upper house that not all the bottles were used as gifts.
"That gin has been used by the commissioner herself and
some of her members of staff," he said.
"I have very good informants inside the New South Wales Police Force and members of the legal fraternity outside, who have told me that Commissioner Webb has purchased in excess of 100 bottles of gin.
"I am asking for the records to show where the distribution of that gin went.
"It is taxpayers' money."
Government frontbencher Tara Moriarty told parliament Labor would not oppose Mr Roberts's attempt to seek documents from police, however she said the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) should be left to investigate.
