No no no not yet Bobby, you need to maximize your gains.

There are three stages in shares, buy, sell and hold.

Bobby I thought your strategy was to sell when the market is down, and buy when it is up?

I dunno what my strategy is anymore -

it's such a crazy market that I'm too paralysed by fear to join in with it.   Embarrassed

My strategy has always been a simple one.

I've never gambled any money on the stock market in my entire life.

And, it has definitely been a sound strategy.

I'm still laughing my head off at how the markets are going up and down like a yo-yo at the moment in almost perfect synchronization with Trump's mouth (or, more precisely, his "Truth" Social rants).

Ah, yes -  the superannuation rort with all its sharemarket gambling and endless "fees and charges". Boy, how I don't miss having to deal with that anymore.

When I retired early at the end of June 2019 (at the age of 61 nearly 62) I started taking my super as an account based pension, still being "gambled" on the stock market but when Covid hit 6 months later in early 2020 I had the whole remaining balance moved to cash and I left it there until I used it all up (well, most of it) and then I applied for the age pension in September 2024 at the age of 67.

And, before anyone says anything - I had to retire early in 2019 to take care of my elderly aunt seeing as I didn't have anyone else to help look after her.

Super in cash, that's where they invest your money in the stock market and you get 3-4% and they get the rest.
