Interesting that Tues -Fri is the timescale to watch for.
Be interesting to see next week’s values.

The Aussie dollar won't change much. Investors need to have faith in governments to allow investment. The AU$ will stay where it is until we stop dillydallying around with renewables and EV transportation

The coalition's refusal to choose a path to keeping it's climate change commitments has caused a huge loss of faith in investors, leading to chronic underinvestment in energy infrastructure and skyrocketing electricity prices.

Under Labor and the Greens, the country had settled on the cheapest, most economically efficient way to reduce GHG emissions. The coalition turned that on its head, and chaos has reigned ever since. The latest incompetent blunder towards nuclear has eroded that faith even further.

Well… according to internet, our AU is worth .51 Uk Today…

I went to enquire at Travelex today and was told it’s worth .48
I said it shows about .51 on the internet.
She told me…that’s wholesale price  Huh

So where is the true worth and how can I get its better true worth?

Just use your credit card to make purchases when you are over there. An added benefit is there is less risk of it being stolen. You don't want to be travelling with big wads of cash if you can avoid it.

It’s actually Aussie money I will be putting on a Travelex debit card with a limited amount to use rather than my own credit card which has too much to lose if it’s scammed.
I’m only having a little cash in UK and EU for that dreaded gratuities bs that’s expected.

But what stumped me was the differences of value from what I see online to what I was told.

If I use my normal credit card… there’s charges of exchange rates each time.

SELL

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/10/investing/us-stocks-drop-after-trump-says-he-...

The Dow closed lower by 890 points, or 2.08%,
pulling back from a loss of more than 1,100 points at one point.

The broader S&P 500 also plunged, dropping by 2.7%,
while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite plummeted 4%.

...

The Dow and S&P 500 each posted their worst day of the year. The Nasdaq posted its biggest single-day decline since September 2022.

The rout extended a miserable month for markets that has seen all three major indexes wipe out their gains since the US presidential election in November.

The widespread selloff was mostly driven by anxiety about the impact of Trump’s tariffs. In an interview that aired Sunday, Trump said the US economy would see “a period of transition” and refused to rule out a recession.

When asked on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo” if he was expecting a recession this year, Trump said “I hate to predict things like that. There is a period of transition because what we’re doing is very big.”

Tech stocks led the selloff, weighing on the S&P 500 and dragging the Nasdaq into correction territory. The S&P 500 closed down 8.6% from its record high on February 19.

The “Magnificent Seven” of tech stocks — Alphabet (GOOG), Amazon (AMZN), Apple (AAPL), Meta (META), Microsoft (MSFT), Nvidia (NVDA) and Tesla (TSLA) — were all in the red on Monday.

“President Trump’s comments not necessarily taking a recession off the table unnerved investors who were already unnerved,” said Anthony Saglimbene, chief market strategist at Ameriprise.

Dow falls by almost 900 points in market rout after Trump says he won’t rule out a recession

New York
CNN

US stocks plunged, bitcoin stumbled and Wall Street’s fear gauge hit its highest level this year as concerns about President Donald Trump’s economic policy led to a widespread market selloff on Monday.

The rout on Wall Street started early, with all three major indexes opening sharply in the red. US stocks slid throughout the day and, despite a brief afternoon rally, closed in the red.

It's all Trump's fault.

LOL. I've been suggesting that might happen for a while. Like what happened to the CCP.
