Interesting times in the US overnight. The S&P 500 gained nearly 2%, then dropped to a loss of 1.6%. The Nasdaq was up 2.6%, but ended down 2.2%. There was no particular trigger for this, just sentiment - the flock of sheep is getting flighty. In fact, it was in response to good news on two fronts: US jobs data and Nvidia's earnings were both better than expected. The Australian market should drop today in response, after a big gain yesterday.

Trump has done it again. The sceptic in me says he is just doing all of this to take advantage of the market swings.
