So things are bearish… I’m sure there’s a bull at the gate.

ASX closed  4.23% down.

Don't panic.

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/04/06/business/stocks-futures-sunday-tariffs/index....

The tariff-induced market mayhem isn’t over just yet.

US stock futures plunged Sunday evening after two sessions of sell-offs that wiped away over $5.4 trillion in market value. Stocks were set to open sharply lower Monday, putting the S&P 500 on the precipice of a bear market — a decline of 20% from its peak and an ominous sign for investors and perhaps the broader economy.

Dow futures were down 1,250 points, or 3.3%.

S&P 500 futures fell 3.7%, while Nasdaq futures tumbled 4.6%. Asian markets tanked: Japan’s Nikkei fell 8% at the open.

FTSE -  London share market down   4.80%

FTSE 100 Live: London index nosedives in opening bloodbath,

markets worry about 'escalatory spiral'

Last updated: 03:39 07 Apr 2025 EDT, First published: 02:15 07 Apr 2025 EDT

Germany's DAX falls 10%

The FTSE has recoiled slightly from its initial dive, now down a mere 5.4% compared to the 6%-plus in the initial minutes.

Over on the Continent, Germany's DAX fell almost 10% initially and is down 9.6% now, with defence giant Rheinmetall down 21% as the biggest faller, though this is just knocking some of the froth off, and the stock is back to where it was just over a month ago.

website for shares says

We’re experiencing unprecedented traffic levels.

How CONvenient, seems little folk investors can’t get in to buy at low prices?

Not even sure if that is a trading platform. There are plenty of others that are working.

Aahh… got it… that’s just one website.
Bobby picked the worst of the bunch … but I’m seeing talk from many USA YouTubers that tomorrow will be Black Monday.
It’s a bit like Black Friday shopping sales really.
Well for some… that don’t panic.

I think it's long overdue. I've been betting on it for a while now.

Exactly. Things have been absurdly overvalued.

In a note to investors Sunday, Goldman Sachs said that if Trump followed through with those threats,
it would surely plunge the US and global economies into a recession.
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon said in an annual letter to shareholders Monday
that Trump’s tariffs would raise prices and slow economic growth.

Wall street closes,  DOW only 0.91% down.

What we know

• Escalating trade war: President Donald Trump threatened to add new 50% tariffs on China if Beijing doesn’t remove its retaliatory duties by tomorrow and said “he’s not looking” at a pause in enforcing the sweeping tariffs he announced last week as fears of a global recession mount and markets plunge.

Financial Advisor Announces It's Time To Panic, Urges Clients To Make Hasty, Emotional Decisions

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Local financial advisor Rick Rosas announced that now was the time for utter panic and urged his clients to hastily make huge money moves based on pure emotion.

Rosas called each of his clients one by one advising them to let fear drive their financial decisions and recommending immediate changes before taking time to think it through.

"What are you doing sitting there?? Buy! Sell! Panic!" said Rosas, speaking to a young couple worried about their retirement account. "Take that fear in your gut, and let it overwhelm you until you make massive, life-altering financial decisions. Do it quick! Hurry!"

According to Rosas, the stock market has never fallen ten percent before, and it is probably a sign of the apocalypse. "This is unprecedented," said Rosas. "When faced with such uncertainty, the best course of action is to freak out and do something drastic. I'm encouraging all of my clients to abandon any semblance of a long-term strategy and to pull the trigger on whatever your emotions tell you to do."

At publishing time, Rosas had advised several clients to move all the money from their retirement accounts into something safe, like Bitcoin.

Wealthy business leaders are turning on US President Donald Trump over his plan to impose a colossal set of tariffs on America’s trading partners, as losses mount on stock markets around the world.

Billionaire investor Bill Ackman, who endorsed Trump’s 2024 presidential bid, warned Sunday that going ahead with the new tariffs was tantamount to launching an “economic nuclear war.”
