Israel has neither confirmed nor denied being behind Haniyeh’s assassination.

In remarks Wednesday, a defiant Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to keep fighting, saying his country is “ready for any scenario” and has delivered “crushing blows” to its enemies.
Haniyeh was the second figure of an Iran-backed group assassinated in the past day, following the killing by Israel of a senior Hezbollah commander in Lebanon.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to avenge Haniyeh’s death. “You killed our dear guest in our house and now have paved the way for your harsh punishment,” he said, referring to Israel. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the US was “not aware of or involved in” the killing of Haniyeh.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has issued an order for Iran to strike Israel directly,

in retaliation for the killing in Tehran of Hamas’s leader, Ismail Haniyeh, according to three Iranian officials briefed on the order.

Mr. Khamenei gave the order at an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council on Wednesday morning, shortly after Iran announced that Mr. Haniyeh had been killed, said the three Iranian officials, including two members of the Revolutionary Guards. They asked that their names not be published because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

That's what they're hoping you'll do.

If a regime is serious about retaliatory strikes on an enemy that would start a war, they don't leave it to 'anonymous sources' to announce it.

The fact is the raghead mullahs fear the Iranian people's reaction to a declaration of war more than they fear the US and Israel combined.

Adding to the unpopularity of the Itanian raghead mullahs, Iran is not a monocultural ethnostate. It is splintered by large and varied ethnicities that have serious and deadly rivalries with each other.
