can't just retire, they have an absolute need for narcissistic supply.
And, given - like teenagers - they're convinced they're invincible, risk calculation is not done, so no caution where and when it's warranted.
And it's not external validation they crave, they already presume they're entitled to that, what they crave as an absolute minimum is total control over others and the destruction of anyone who stands in their way.
But, as we'd all intuit, or fear, there's a part of us that admires the narcissist - at the 3:00 AM of our souls, after one of those ID dreams.
