China’s exports beat forecasts in 2024
Jul 14th, 2024 at 9:23pm

China's exports are increasing despite the USA's actions on tariffs and the USA's compelling European countries to act against China.

It appears that China is broadening its exports into South America and Africa.

The USA is losing wars in Ukraine and Gaza and is now losing the trade war against China.

Quote:
HONG KONG (AP) — China’s exports beat forecasts in June, customs data showed Friday, while imports grew less than expected.

Exports grew 8.6% from the same time last year to hit $307.8 billion, according to data released by Chinese customs, beating estimates of about 7.4% to 8% growth. Imports however fell 2.3% from a year earlier to $208.8 billion.

China’s strong exports for June led to its trade surplus widening to $99 billion, up from $82.6 billion in May.

The growth in exports comes as China faces escalated trade tensions with the U.S. and Europe. The U.S. and Europe have ramped up tariffs on Chinese-made electric cars. ...

"China is in the midst of a profound economic crisis. Growth rates are flagging as an unsustainable mountain of debt piles up; China’s debt-to-GDP ratio reached a record 288% in 2023. But even that eye-popping figure does not capture the uncomfortable fact that much of it was borrowed to buy assets that no longer yield enough income to repay the debt. This is especially true in the housing sector, where sales have fallen by a third since the pre-pandemic peak, and new construction is down 60%. This is one of the worst housing crashes in the world over the last three decades."

...

"The bubble is already bursting. Chinese creditors have now scaled back new lending and raised interest rates, following government guidance announced as the “Three Red Lines.” As the most indebted Chinese bulls go bankrupt or panic sell to repay their loans, prices are falling further as their bear counterparts jump back in and buy assets at fire-sale discount prices. That will eventually put a floor on the price collapse but it is also redistributing wealth rapidly from debtors to creditors. Bears feast on the bulls during every crash."

But all is not well in China.

Lee repeats Western propaganda against China.

All is not well everywhere as war and destruction prevail.

At least China isn't wasting its money on death, war and destruction on which the return is poverty.

The US and the West are financing death and destruction.

Western propagandists have been predicting the crash of the Chinese economy for decades. They have been wrong.

As Australia major trading partner and given the historical fact it was our valued allied in WW2;and the fact they have shown no aggression to Australia I simply befuddled why we all can't be friends?

Yes the Chinese are very intelligent.
Yes they are ambitious.

What the hell is wrong with that?

They aren't the yellow Devil about to invade
Australia and enslave us to dig up coal for them.

We need to engage them more positively and help try and bring a agreement in the Asian Pacific that benefit all.

I noticed Penny Wong has been very successful in her efforts to improve and open dialogue with China.

This is something she deserves full credit for.

Get rid of Albo, I'll happily vote Penny as P.M
