Shouldn't support for "all" (regardless of race) potential & future Olympic Athletes be funded through our main body Sports Australia???????
Why is there now a specific body being formed to fund one racial group????

Olympic officials plan to launch a $100m investment fund by the end of
the year to raise money for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander athletes.
The Australian Olympic Indigenous Athlete Fund will aim to generate $1m
each year and use the same strategy as the ASX-listed Future Generation investment company that allocates 1 per cent of its assets annually to
charity, and potentially a similar fund for rugby union.
AOC president Ian Chesterman said it aimed to enhance opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander athletes in Olympic sports, and promote more representation of First Nations athletes at Olympic Games.
“What we have done is sounded out a number of high-net worth individuals, so it may not necessarily be a public fund to start with … to get
the fund moving,” Mr Chesterman said.
“We are confident that it is also a cause that will resonate with investors.”
