Sudanese born Christo Brown, has once again breached his parole after serving 8 years for violently raping a 76 year old Tasmanian woman.

Brown broke into her West Launceston home, demanded sex and money, and then raped the elderly victim while she screamed in agony.

The Jury convicted him of rape, aggravated burglary and demanding money with menaces.

He was sentenced to just 8 years jail.

He assessed as high risk of reoffending.

In 2025 the Supreme Court put him on a 5 year High Risk Offender Order with strict conditions including curfew, electronic monitoring and no alcohol.

He was released back into the community and within months he breached the order and bail, including drinking and failing to be at approved premises by 8pm.

In July this year, he pleaded guilty to multiple breaches.

This is exactly why high risk foreign born offenders should not be free in the community.
