What a weird coincidence that this happens a day before the debate between Biden and Trump?

Yes.

It gives Biden an avenue to raise Trump's stance on Wikileaks which he claimed to love during his election campaign and then, when president, claimed he knew nothing about.

Trump got away with it due to the Yankist inherent attention span of a gnat.

It's all political.

Of course.

The US obsession with Assange has become an own goal.

Now the world questions the worth of the 1st Amendment. Does the US stand by press freedom or is it just Yankist propaganda?

It's a sad day for whistleblowers all around the world.

Australia also prosecutes whistleblowers.  Roll Eyes

It's actually a great day for whistleblowers.

The Yankist commitment to free speech via the 1st Amendment has been questioned on the world stage - even staunch US allies have stood against the US, and for Assange, over this, even if they have huge problems with what he did.

I would not want to be on board VJT199 for the next several hours.  I might relax if I was on it in about three hours.

https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-69145409

Summary

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has walked free from a US court after pleading guilty in a deal to end a years-long legal battle
He faces no further prison time and is due to fly home to Australia, following the hearing held in the Northern Mariana Islands, a US territory
Assange was pursued by US prosecutors for leaking a vast amount of secret military information, and had faced a long sentence in a high security prison
Last week, he signed a deal with the US that would see him plead guilty to one espionage charge instead of the 18 he was originally facing
He left the UK on Monday after spending five years in prison there fighting extradition to the US. Before that he spent seven years in the Ecuadorean embassy
His wife, Stella Assange, told the BBC she was "elated" about his release

Who wants to bet he does the ground kissing thing when he puts his foot on Ngunnawal Land tonight?

He will go the full Messiah, a Second Coming, I'm sure.

Dunno if that includes kissing the ground.  That might be way too below his lofty God-like.

Will he say anything, or will he keep his mouth shut until he gets to discharge the TV and other Media contracts.

You can bet those contracts already exist.

None of this happened over-night and will have been very carefully planned/scripted.

We've already had a dose of the 'innocent' Assange from his two Lawyers outside the Court House...who paid for them being there......"He has only pleaded guilty to what he has done...received stuff from Manning and published it as a good journalist does.  He would never have pleaded guilty to anything he had not done."

A question.....(one of a zillion I'd like to ask the prick at a public venue) ..... why did he not offer to make that plea years ago?  Maybe he did, but I'll bet not.

This is gonna piss me off mightily.  We are going to see, "I fart perfume and I
s
h
i
t ice-cream for weeks."  The haughty, sanctimonious, holier than thou, "I am a persecuted Jesus," pompously self righteous, "I am a martyr for free speech," narcissist will be at full bloom.  The lofted head, the slow loping walk, the slow speech....the God pretence ....................................... agh!

What does Aussie Cossack have to say?
Alex Jones live:

https://madmaxworld.tv/watch?id=667b04d340522cbc0dcafc8e

He must be a Russian spy but
some of the things he says are true.
He forgot to mention:
how many people in Afghanistan had to be immediately rescued
by the US military after their names were published by Wikileaks?
They were people such as translators and spies working for the Yanks
who would have been murdered by the Taliban.
