Then you do not understand Statistics and how people's opinions are measured, Eugene. Tsk, tsk, tsk... But I do,Brian, and having been involved with the ABC and their methods I understand only to well. Opinion polls often get it so wrong as to be hilarious. I well remember a filmed feature that they did and I instructed the participants to never answer yes to any questions but to insist on giving an answer, result it never went to air as the answers couldn’t be twisted to suit the agenda. I did the statistical programming for a public opinion poll run as part of the ANU for five years. I used to handle terabytes of data from thousands of respondents contacted through the electoral rolls and via mail. We did not "weigh" our results, we did not use paid various respondents, they did it all out of the goodness of their hearts. I understand more than most people how to "fix" results and why academics do things that they do. So, please, don't treat me as a fool, Eugene. Tsk, tsk, tsk... I’m not treating you as a fool, Brian, but as you say above results can be fixed, so we agree.
