If you housetrain your puppies well and proactively this should not be a problem. However, accidents happen.

Read how to cope with the accident:

Invite Frank to your home. Frank's rank odor will mask all others, even a dump by an elephant with diarrhea.

Please don't thank me. Effusive fawning and obeisance of disciples, mendicants, and foot-kissers embarrass me.

Not if you have a Doberman. Told him once not to pee inside when he was a pup, and then never again.

When I had a better offer not long ago. . .poor old Socks was by herself like 12 hours or a bit more overnight. I expected an accident Sniff Sniff, damn a bit doggy but no disaster! Wasting no time, got the lead on her, led her outside—the Falls of Niagara happened.

I was impressed. Good dog that Socks!

All you can do is mop the floors and Vanish the carpets when accidents happen.

There are so many dogs around. It's ridiculous.

It's an epidemic. Pathetic.

I'll keep that in mind when I visit you and just piss anywhere.

You wouldn't tolerate it from me but it's ok from a mutt.

Pathetic.

Dogs should not be kept indoors. No animals should be.  Would you have a cow in your flat? A pig? Sheep?

Pigs are very clean animals and are probably smarter than dogs.

Then again, dogs can be housetrained, Franks I am not sure.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I just have to laugh at that one.

When we got our dog back in the late 1980s, he had a lot of trouble getting toilet trained. So, given that he was a puppy, it was difficult for him to go up and down the stairs to take a piss. We had to keep an eye on the dog as much as we could for signs that he needed a toilet break. Then we would carry him downstairs.

The dog learned how to whimper at the door to get us to open the door for him when he needed to go outside. But, apart from those trips outside, he would love to spend time inside and with his family.

They take a while to understand. Puppies learn from their mothers how to pee properly. Being shut up in a house for their own safety, it is not difficult to understand that they have no choice but to crap on the carpet.

Animals belong to the outdoors.

That is their natural environment. Indoor pets are hideously deformed by their stupid 'daddies and mummies'.  Ludicrous.
