I was looking to get rid of a few streaming services.

An email I received this morning made the decision easy:

"Dear Prime member,

"We are writing to you today about an upcoming change to your Prime Video experience.

"Starting July 2, Prime Video movies and TV shows will include limited advertisements."

Typical - they want you to pay to watch adverts.    Roll Eyes

They can all get stuffed.

I will never understand why you people will pay to watch television. There must be 20 free-to-air channels to watch on tv. When I was 11, I was ecstatic to go from 2 channels on tv to 4. Then I discovered the internet, and watching television was not so important. Then I discovered that we could watch movies and tv shows whenever we felt like it on the internet.

Just load up a free streaming service and watch from there.

And most are crap, and most have ads.

With Pay TV I get to choose what I watch and when I watch it, and there are no ads to put up with.

If I missed something someone said, I can rewind it.

If I don't want to see a certain part, I can fast forward it.

If the phone rings, I can pause it.

There's no comparison.

Mmhmm. That is why I mentioned just getting a free streaming service to watch your shows. You can pause, rewind, subtitles, etc., just as you would with a paid streaming service.

You are obviously not old school enough to pay attention to television. Commercials were the time we took that break to get a drink/snack or go to the toilet. These days, we might even pick up our phones and do a bit of Facebooking until the show comes back on.

20 channels on free-to-air TV. I have not been spoiled so much with movies to watch for a long time.
