Now, the reason for this media stunt is attempt to devert attention from really bad Ukraine situation in actual war.
Quote:
Konstantinovka collapses under Russian advance
Orekhov encirclement and Zaporizhzhia region crisis
Existential stakes if Slavyansk and Zaporizhzhia city fall

Here is Konstantinovka on 2nd of June
...

and on 5th of June the encirclement was completed with few hundred of Ukrainian soldiers inside of the cauldron like proverbial fish in a barrel.

Russian President Vladimir Putin meets with representatives of leading international news agencies during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2026.

The annual question-and-answer session provides a platform for Putin to discuss Russia's domestic and foreign policy, international affairs, economic developments, global security issues and key geopolitical events with journalists and media executives from around the world.

The meeting takes place at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg as SPIEF 2026 brings together political leaders, business executives and policymakers for discussions on the global economy, international cooperation, rare earths, critical minerals and emerging challenges facing the world.

Quote:
The topic of the special military operation and the growth of the Russian economy under its conditions were also discussed, as well as peace talks on the Ukrainian settlement. One of the questions concerned the Russian leader's attitude toward Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The conflict surrounding Iran and the consequences of the energy crisis were also touched upon. The head of state responded to rumors that Russia was preparing to attack NATO countries and spoke with journalists about contacts with the United States regarding Cuba and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Can Putin resist the endless  'fake news' - eg. news of the stalled Russian advance in the Donbass, and drone attacks on Moscow and St. Peterburg, which will increasingly be recognized by the population in Russia as the bombs start failing on them, just as the bombs started falling on the Germans near the end of WW2?

Ukrainian drones target St Petersburg in attack Russia calls 'unprecedented'

Russia says Ukraine has launched an "unprecedented attack" on and around St Petersburg, as the city hosted the final day of an economic forum.

More than 140 drones were shot down over the surrounding Leningrad region, governor Aleksandr Drozdenko said, while the city's governor, Alexander Beglov, urged residents to stay indoors for the first time since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his forces had hit Russia's arsenals and a naval base, calling it a just response to Russian attacks.

It comes a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin said there was no point in meeting Zelensky, who had called for direct talks to end the war.

Earlier on Saturday, Drozdenko said Ukraine's attacks had caused a fire at an unspecified military facility, and that residents had been evacuated. He also said buildings had sustained "insignificant" damage.

Zelensky said his country's drones had covered a distance of 1,000km (620 miles) to St Petersburg, Russia's second largest city, targeting "the enemy navy's arsenals and a base in Kronstadt". The main outpost of the Russian Navy's Baltic Fleet is located in Kronstadt.

Yes well, that was before Zelensky organized the latest drone attack, after Putin rejected Zelensky's letter for a peace deal.

what a good day

Quote:
.........   Ukraine hit Moscow with nearly 200 drones in its largest ever attack on the Russian capital on Thursday, striking an oil refinery and sending huge plumes of smoke billowing over the city’s south.

The towering columns of smoke rising above Moscow offered a stark demonstration of Ukraine’s growing ability to strike deep inside Russia with its increasingly sophisticated, largely domestically produced long-range drones.      ........

Do you have a link to this data?

No Matter I searched... It seems Ukraine received 522 body parts, not bodies.

Ukraine has started putting guided missiles on balloons that rise to 40 km then release the missile that finds its target then turns off gps and radio and flies to the target.
IF Russia spots the balloon, it can shoot it down with a missile costing 100 k dollars. The Ukraine balloon missile costs 6k.
They have been testing it out with just the balloon and Russia has been shooting down 250£ balloons with 100k dollar missiles. One set of Ukrainian balloons went 4k km.
Just the Ukraine tests have cost Russia millions.
Oh, now Russia is developing the same but the stratospheric winds blow them east deep into Russia. Ukraine has a real advantage here. They are looking at putting drones on the balloons as well.
They are just putting this into combat operations so we will see what happens. It’s likely going to be a weapon that every now and then makes big news when it drifts over an important site. Its main purpose is to make Russia use very expensive missiles to shoot them down

Kyiv said Moscow handed over 1,245 bodies on Monday, bringing the total to 6,057 in the past few days.

That was a year ago.

Zelensky threats Belorussia.

Zelenskyy has issued a one-week ultimatum to Belarus to shut down relay equipment on the border with Ukraine that he claimed was being used to guide Russian drone attacks.

What will Zelensky's threats to Belarus lead to? Is he going to repeat his misadventure of Kursk invasion o 2024?
