Its capture is seen as a significant step, opening a direct route toward the key cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, which form a major defensive hub for Ukrainian forces in the eastern Donbas.

'Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday he was not taking any responsibility for deaths in the Ukraine war, a conflict that has killed tens of thousands on both sides.
"We do not consider ourselves responsible for the loss of life. We did not start this war," Putin said during his annual press conference in Moscow'.

Inquiries have revealed that Stavka, Russian Army Command, was given an order by drunken NATO hackers to win a bet. Russia had no idea why it was sending in tanks and has demanded an apology.
