Well – Ukraine is not getting Tomahawks -
Trump says he doesn't want to cause escalation.
Does he have a point?
Let's say Ukraine fires 100 Tomahawks and Russia replies with 2,000
of their own cruise missiles -
that doesn't achieve anything for Ukraine.

more here:

WW1 and WW2 started for far less reasons than what we see in Ukraine.
The difference was that Germany was successful in fast invasions in WW2
using blitzkrieg.
Russia is bogged down in this invasion for over 3 & ½ years.
The West only ever gives Ukraine enough weapons to cause a stalemate.
That seems to have been the plan -
avoid WW3 and cause a stalemate that drains Russia to make it weak.
