The cease fire negotiations are going nowhere.
Neither side will stop while they still have missiles to fire at each other.
My prediction is WW3 - yes it will go nuclear.

MOSCOW, March 25 (Reuters) - Russia, the world's top wheat and fertiliser exporter, said on Tuesday that Western sanctions against companies involved in food and fertiliser exports and shipping would have to be lifted as a pre-condition for a Black Sea maritime security deal.
The deal was reached at talks in Riyadh on Monday. The U.S. agreed to help to restore Russia’s access to the world market for agricultural and fertiliser exports.

You are ignoring the US's rebuff of Russia's desire to join NATO after the collapse of the USSR.

On 5 March 2000 in response to a question about his attitude towards NATO, Mr Putin also said he could envisage a closer relationship between Russian and the alliance. "We believe we can talk about more profound integration with NATO, but only if Russia is regarded as an equal partner," he said.

Not possible when the US was busy cementing its status as the world's hegemon, post the demise of the USSR.

It will only go nuclear if Trump is detemined to end the Ukraine war the same way as he is content to end the Gaza war, ie via annihilation of one of the belligerents, in the case of the Ukraine war, Russia.

But since he isn't THAT determined (since Russia is a nuclear state), the war will drag on, while Trump has achieved his goal of forcing the EU to defend itself so he can concentrate on containing China.

Very clever (he's a self-proclained "genius", after all).

Of course we still don't know what the conditions, acceptable to both sides, were - which Trump claimed would enable him to end the war in days.

Are you confirming Russia's intent to occupy Uktraine?

At what cost?

The USA will back out of NATO and their isolation will be complete.

China or a resurgent Russia, again thanks to Trump, will rise up and replace the US as the dominant global super power.

I don't want to live in that world, but at this rate, we don't have a choice.

There is more at stake than being a QAnon baker and changing that goal of Trumps actions after he's made them to something that will fit and save face, like now, "forcing Europe to defend themselves".
