But the Islamic council is speaking English. They want to deflect attention from the mosques to the boys as political, in contrast. Are the boys in a political party? When Islamic states rule it's to enact Muslim scriptures. The Quran has nothing to say about socialism, monarchy, GDP and Reserve bank rates or political theory. Try and buy an apple pie with no apple in it.

The Party will write it all off as one deranged individual and
we'll move on as he is put in an asylum - no conviction -
not guilty by reason of insanity.

Gandalf did tell us that Islam has some economic rules. However I think this was limited to forbidding usury, combined with a fairly convoluted way of achieving the same thing.

People who can't distinguish between etymology and entomology bug me in ways I cannot put into words.

Yes as in Israel, it was a forbidden religious attitude. The Church can rule in feudal tyranny or modern states, the texts say nothing about the government. Israel had absolute monarchy, now democracy. Same with Islam. Anything goes, the politics is not the point. Religion is.

'The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before the Children's Court in Parramatta on Thursday charged with possessing or controlling extremist material, with the prosecution alleging his mobile phone contained videos of beheadings produced by the Islamic State'.
The Youth branch of Islamic State of NSW has approved a platform of political reforms. This includes music therapy for beached whales, glitter paints for pre-school body painting and better coffee in the Parliament cafe. A motto for the elections is 'Feel Fuzzy and Mussie' to avoid any links with Muslims.
