I agree. Queenstown is the true cultural capital of EnZed. Pure entertainment on so many levels. I loved doing the ice diving.
To me, North Island is vibrant and greener. Around Mt Taranaki-Egmont, the oxygen intake is like breathing Nitrox (diving). South Island is more scenic, but bleaker in parts too.
I hate the pine plantations. Replacing the amazing Beech and old growth gondwanic forests to make it look like sterile Canadian forests. Just awful.
My favourite place is around Te Anau and it's where I wish to spend my last year's gazing upon those mountains over the lake. Mountains Gandalf! Mountains. I could happily live on Stewart Island too. Invercargill is my favourite city - love those wide open streets.

EnZed only has one dangerous creature. Kiwi women. They are so sexually aggressive. You could be standing with your wife and they would still come up to you to say "She's not good enough for you". They have even been scientifically proven to 'paddock' their men.

Australia is where I work. EnZed is where I holiday.

Ever since a boy, I've always enjoyed swimming in those streams and rivers. Although very cold, they are crystal clear and I could drink their clean freshwater to the bottom. Platypus don't know what they are missing, compared to our silt muddy turgid waterways.
I've even seen trout swim up gutters in Queenstown.

EnZed is equal first with west Canada regarding the best tourism industry in the world and it really is a great experience.

Mick Jagger famously described Invercargill as “the arsehole of the world”. I love it. Spent some time in a whitebait hut there too.

Starting A One-Year Race To Rewrite The Rules

Donald Trump has signed the bill that ends the longest government shutdown in American history and sets in motion the return of federal prohibition for most hemp-derived products. The Senate passed the package on Monday. The House followed on Wednesday. Inside the hundreds of pages that fund critical agencies sits one of the most dramatic drug-policy reversals the United States has seen in years.

What Congress Just Recriminalized
The spending package contains a quiet but sweeping rewrite of the definition of legal hemp. As reported by Marijuana Moment, the new standard kicks in one year from enactment. On that date, any product that exceeds 0.4 milligrams of total THC per container becomes illegal under the Controlled Substances Act.

Not 0.4 milligrams per serving — per entire jar, can, cartridge, bag, bottle or packet.

The legislation also bans:

Any cannabinoid synthesized or manufactured outside the plant
Any cannabinoid that cannot be naturally produced by Cannabis sativa L.
Any intermediate product sold directly to consumers
Any cannabinoid with “similar effects” — or marketed as having similar effects — to THC, as determined by federal health regulators
This is a “total THC” framework that counts THCA, delta-8, delta-10 and other isomers. It eliminates most tinctures, gummies, seltzers, vapes, infused beverages and low-dose products that emerged after the 2018 Farm Bill.

Legal hemp retreats to a narrow technical definition. Everything else becomes marijuana under federal law.
