I was 15 years old for 10/12ths of the year in 1994. The doctor prescribed me fentanyl after I had my surgery.

Just because you heard about fentanyl only from 2013, that does not mean that it was not around in 1994. It just was not a street drug back then. The "last time" I tried it was also the "first time" I tried it.

Heroin was around for a long time. It was criminalised by the year 1953. The first time I ever tried heroin was the year 1996. I was 17.

I had a brief drug problem. So brief that I had moderate withdrawal symptoms.

So it was prescribed to you by a doctor post surgery ... so you didn't "try" it at all. Roll Eyes

You should have said that from the outset.

I well aware how long heroin & other opioids have been around.

Fentanyl is a synthetic.

Get f'n pedantic, Dan. I "experienced" fentanyl. You fall asleep within 30 minutes of having it. It is a strong pain killer.

Heroin has been criminalised since the 1950s. Tried that. I barely remember what it was like, I was hooked for such a short period of time.

Already said I'm aware of the history of opioids & the use of heroin as a street drug since the 40s/ 50's.

There were Opium dens all over the world back in the day when every big city had a Chinatown.

It was even used in high society as a calmative medication for people with high anxieties.

It was called Laudanum( a liquid taken orally).

I was in Baghdad when you were still in Dadsbag.

I would hardly call getting medicated with fentanyl painkillers post-surgery at the age of 15 to be "in a competition with Marla for druggo cred". My mother was prescribed fentanyl by her hospital doctor, when my mother broke her own arm in a fall. I hardly would ever call a retired 67 y.o. nurse who has dispensed painkillers as part of her career "in a competition with Marla for druggo cred".

What were you doing in Baghdad in 1978?
