Have you ever tried fentanyl?

No I haven't.

It is getting mixed into most other illicit drugs and killing many people.

The last time I tried fentanyl, I was 15 years old.

I doubt that very much that you were 15.

Fentanyl has only been poking its head up since 2013. You weren't 15 then.

And "the last time" you tried it would indicate that you had done it before.

So you had a hard drug problem? Roll Eyes

I was 15 years old for 10/12ths of the year in 1994. The doctor prescribed me fentanyl after I had my surgery.

Just because you heard about fentanyl only from 2013, that does not mean that it was not around in 1994. It just was not a street drug back then. The "last time" I tried it was also the "first time" I tried it.

Heroin was around for a long time. It was criminalised by the year 1953. The first time I ever tried heroin was the year 1996. I was 17.

I had a brief drug problem. So brief that I had moderate withdrawal symptoms.

I went sober July 4th, since I woke up on the floor of the loungeroom on July 3rd, having had a mini stroke. Decided to go sober from then onwards. Made it to August sometime in the first week, when I just started drinking beers only. From then onwards, I decided that July 3rd will be my sobriety day, where I go sober for 4 weeks (28 days). August 1st is when I can decide whether to drink or not. People want me to go 5 weeks sober. But, this previous month of July was such a tough time for me that I won't be going sober for more than 4 weeks, unless I break the habit.

It will be another reason why I respect July 4th.

Hi Unsub,
I have found alcohol has never helped me resolve any trouble.

' .......  unless I break the habit.  ...... ' - yes it is a habit.
I found many alternatives to drinking helped to give me better habits.
Herbal teas, gardening, weights, bridge, yoga, cycling.
Anything at all. Have at least 4 alternatives ready to call upon whenever you want.
Maybe jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, crosswords, reading .
Anything.

I was drunk yesterday. I am intoxicated today. I will be sober tomorrow.

I video log. I read. I play mobile phone games. I do resistance training -- which is one of the reasons I should quit alcohol. I am starting gardening next month.

Um, that AusGeoff or whatever he goes by

Carl D (maybe, he's sounds old)

SadKangaroo - although I don't believe he's ever drug any drugs.

philperth2010 - he might get high until the paranoia settles in

Dnarever - then again he might start waxing philosophical while high which I'm cool with

Well - two certifiables there... take some advice - avoid them.  AusGeoff (where is he) is an oldie... Dnarever is, too... the boiling  hatred of the other two you need to avoid... I've tried educating them, but they are recalcitrant.

Grasshopper - a better life awaits.... you must release your soul from the chains of the downsiders of life....  Colorado has many fine peaks you can stay on for a week or so and meditate your way to mental and spiritual health... stay away from the bears and the gutter grinders you seem to enjoy waltzing with.... there is no future there....

I have decided that father's day will be the final time I ever get drunk. But it will be on red wine. My team won tonight. I will celebrate on Sunday.
