You can travel with medicinal cannabis under the traveller’s exemption. Further information can be found at Medicinal cannabis: importation and the traveller's exemption.
Case example: Marla has used cannabis since she was 2 years old and is barely able to post two sentences before falling off her chair. Her doctor agrees she needs a fix just to get to tomorrow. Marla has a bag with pyjamas, glitter lipstick and a large ship container of weed. She can enter Australia.
