Watching the special on tv now and you know what is also heart breaking (apart from the deaths)
The interview with a friend of that young Afghanistan guard whom died confronting the attacker. His first day shift in the job.
His friend said… he and family were relieved when they heard he was one of the victims or they felt this would’ve been blamed on him. How sad they think that way? Goes to show how much racism/judgement has really woven itself into the fabric of society.

My thoughts are a bravery award given to his family on their deceased son’s behalf.
