They had to pay a guy accused of rape with a prostitute, and that didn't ring alarm bells?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

How come he even had a job in our parliament?

Conservatives love rapists

Canberra is full of drugs and prostitution.

It's time all the politicians were drug tested.

Agreed.  And it's about time alcohol was either restricted or banned at Parliament House.  If it's fair enough to randomly drug and alcohol test employees in a wide range of workplaces, then the same should be held for our parliamentarians. If it's good enough to randomly drug and alcohol test police, firies and paramedics who have to make critical decisions, then surely those who debate and pass laws we all have to live by, should be free of any impediments like drugs and alcohol which might impair their decision making.  And that definitely goes for their staff members.

At my last job you couldn't even have a light beer at the pub at lunchtime -
they had a zero alcohol policy and anyone could be tested at any time
with instant dismissal as the most likely outcome.

At our parliament in Canberra you can be as pissed as a parrot and still make
a speech in the Senate or house of Reps.
They all get on the piss at lunchtime in the cafeteria.
Look at Barnaby - drunk out of his mind lying in the gutter
and he was acting PM at one time.  Roll Eyes

The parliament is full of drunken bums no better than Monk.

Parliamentarians have always had the right to be "tired and emotional" in Parliament.

It seems that I have upset a Moderator and are forbidden from using posting to the general forum now. So much for Freedom of Speech. Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Many are drunken bums and their behaviour would not
be tolerated in private industry.
