Why is it that people shrug, sort of, when blacks are called nigglers but get touchy when whites are called stupid or supremacist or whatever the variety of niggler terms there are for whites? Why IS there a mutual antipathy, distrust, deprecation?

It can't be slavery as the nigglers don't hold the Arabs or other nigglers in the same contempt even though they were traded to the whites by other nigglers and Arabs.
With the Aborigines, some are ministers, professors, MP - others still live in sorcery, magic and tribal retribution, with a mobile phone.

My suggestion - and it's no more - is that the more primitive people are the more difficult it is for them to admit it, and to leave the primitive behind.
Sophisticated cultures have no difficulty adapting to modern Western- invented civilisation. Tribal, primitive cultures do. They cannot self-repudiate, they cannot recognise the primitiveness, so they hang on to it even if it kills them.

Tribal societies frozen in the aspic of their unbending arch-conservative ways are unable to adapt, change, outgrow because that requires an admission that they WERE frozen in unbending timeless conservatism.
You call a horse face man a dog face, he laughs with you. Call him horse face, he will hate you forever. The same with primitive people. Admitting backwardness is devastating so primitive people will put Pascoesque lipstick on anything as long as they do not have to admit the obvious - obvious to everyone else.

Aborigines are incredibly 'racist'.
From 12,000 years of Carpentarian isolationism.
40,000 years of Murrayan isolationism.
120,000 years of Tasmanian isolationism.

These are a people who have forgotten how to talk to other people.
They have forgotten how to 'welcome' others, trade and participate in the world.

Even now, they would still say everyone from the rest of the world needs to leave here - NOT WELCOME.
They still try to shut the rest of the world out and deny it exists.
Where I grew up. If you were 'white' - you were attacked by Aborigines. Simple as that. 90% were Aborigine Racism against 'mostly' Whites, among other kids.

...but you will NEVER EVER see that side of Australian life because the Australian Media follows the American Media narrative and culture. It's a FAKE AUSTRALIAN. 

I'll have a stab in the dark here: First off; nothing makes the abuse alright. Having said that I'll take a wild guess that the bright lights shining through peoples windows and bouncing balls and loud kids at night when people are settled in for the evening has become an issue for a secretly pissed off bunch of neighbours. A genuine community member, thoughtful of others would limit it to at least the weekend, but not Eddie Betts. No one dares confront him about it cause he'll claim racism. It brews and one idiot has really had enough.
