Indeed, you've touched on a sore point there. Does it make you laugh or cry.

The QLD Govt has done something Aussie and Monk would do.
We all know Monk is an 'animal dumper' for starters and Aussie would do it just for legal spite.

Just keep the poor bird away from monk otherwise it will end up with a blown out rectum.

I've known a few people who have rescued injured Maggies... they stick around and become part of the family.  Taking them to the vet is murder - tempts me to start my own animal rescue and repair.... no property though...

I think the vets knock 'em on the head since they are too much trouble.... you can tape up a broken wing with special stuff and it will mend.... and a minor injury can be fixed... but no.... too costly....

https://www.msdvetmanual.com/multimedia/table/first-aid-kit-for-pet-birds

Not advertising here - just showing it can be done.... lots of work though - especially re-aligning broken wing bones - small and light.  the hardest part is knowing how to put the bird under properly without killing it.  Knew I should have married that vet lady.

This is an issue requiring leadership by the premier on the floor of parliament. A federal election is looming, interest rates are undecided and the sub deal is wobbly. Strong and decisive progress is essential, now. Maggie needs her mum.

Maybe this could be solved by shoving the handle of a feather duster up Gordon's arse and getting him frolicking with Bobbie and JSin.

A representation of the feather duster sticking out of Gordon's arse could replace the Union Jack on Australia's flag.

Deeds are mightier than the lying words of politicians.

Perhaps we could wrap you in a facsimile of your Palestinian flag and drop you over Israel... or even worse, Syria or Jordan or Egypt.

One look at that frantic fuzzy-wuzzy face you used to use and they'd let you wander the desert as a 'blessed of Allah' ....  Allah will watch over him and his true way will be shown without our input..... if he dies of thirst that is Allah's will...  if he falls into a well we must fish him out lest he poison the water....

Heeey - it's around Hound Grog Day...

Noooo!  Why do you think that?

Scumbag authorities - always sticking their noses in where they're not wanted.  If Molly dies of heartbreak it will be because of them.  He was not kept in captivity, he was free to come and go as he pleased and he chose to be with his human and canine friends.

There many grounds in UN rights of magpies and Qld Police State black-and-white regulations to issue control orders.
Magpie slavery is forbidden, kidnapping, imprisonment without trial, and forced partnership with a dog. We also have a shocking example of brainwashing of a vulnerable young chick when it was impressionable and became fixated on the dog of another species, a wolf canus lupus. Magpies have no vote, no union and no education. You can see them in groups calling out for justice.

That is possible - those idiots don't know how to run a decent concentration camp............

I can see it now - the learned vets gather around while Molly pecks at food and says - "Where's me dog?" ... and they decide that since Molly can never make it back in the world it is humane to kill her.... the lovely bird will so much appreciate their care and consideration for her best interests as she undergoes involuntary suspension of life...

"Why not hand her back?" ... said one dissenting voice.... to have licence promptly stripped...

Please don't thank me. Effusive fawning and obeisance of disciples, mendicants, and foot-kissers embarrass me.
